I wore my Blues to my Daughter’s wedding a few years back and I can tell you with absolute certainty … getting the coat on is the easy part, getting that bastard off after an evening of drinking and eating is the real challenge. Congrats SFC Freitas!
Just as long as none of the buttons fly off and puts somebody's eye out! Congrats on your Daughter's wedding and Thank you for your service my Brother Vet!
You're got a little over a month to get on the treadmill. ❤and a bit of fasting wouldn't hurt either. If jesus could do it for 40 straight days you cam do 3 days a week (every other day if you like) for a month. It might even help your prayer life, too.❤ Just saying.
yeah, you do look dapper, but hopefully you won't drop anything that you have to pick up on the day. Good News? you still have a month to look even better in your jacket and strides. No more donuts at work for lunch. You can do it! But, even if buttons are popping off, thank you for your service, and congratulations to you and your, (about to be extended), family.
Nick...You and I are around the same age, remember, its not the size of the jacket, its the man inside it. Keep fighting for us in DC. We need 100 of you to restore our constitution.
Congratulations!! You look fantastic. My Dad enlisted in 1946 and retired in 1986. I buried him in his dress blues (Navy) last year. His flag hangs in my family room. May we never forget our family members who served.
Wow!! 40 years in the NAVY!!! Amazing. My Dad was 30years Navy, hubby was 22 Navy. I lost dad in ‘99, he entered Navy Flight school in ‘42. If you don’t already know, we have a great BRATS f/book group! Check out : Brats Our Journey Home Blessings.
@bcaye I know exactly what you mean. I held it together until the Navy Captain gave me the folded flag. My grandson, who was sitting next to me, also started to cry and held my hand for the rest of the service.
My father walked me down the aisle in his dress blues he was still active back then 25th year anniversary coming up in June and we are renewing our vows blessed that he will walk me down the aisle again. Congratulations on your daughter's wedding and thank you for your service.
Nick I left the Army in 2013. Trying to get into my dress blues would require a nascar pit crew and an industrial sized tub of lubricant. Good work and congrats. Keep fighting the good fight.
Your comment was priceless ! I found a pair of my old fatigues from 1973 and didn't even bother to try . Right away I knew it was hopeless . Can't believe I was ever that thin . Thank you for your service !
Your daughter will be beaming as you escort her down the aisle. Great job Dad! Thank you for all you’ve done and continue to do in service to our country.
@@joehannah1343 No worries, in that blouse there's no way to even start to put his hands over his head, he'd be lucky to touch an ear. How do I know? Because I had to go through the same exercise except 25 years after I last wore it 😂
@@silverjohn6037my chest and shoulders were great but my legs, from all the damn running, were lackluster. Been out 5 years and will do any cardio except running. Hated that shit
Love how your face turns beet red while trying to put it on 😂 still a perfect fit 👍🏻 from one retiree to another thanks for all you did while serving. Congratulations to your daughter and future son in law
Yep. Just like most of us. The bulk that was in the upper chest and shoulders seem to settle down in the mid-section. I retired in 1994 and there is no way that I can get into my dress blues now. So I traded them in for 6 grand children 😀
I had no doubt the jacket would fit!! Your daughter will be glowing with you walking her down the aisle! Well done! And thank you for your service…in and out of the military!
There aren’t any appropriate emojis to show the laughter and amusement! God bless you good, sir. And may he bless your family, and your daughter and the family that she is about to begin!
If I even looked at my Dress Blues, or greens for that matter, they'd run screaming in terror. I retired in 2010, and the pounds seem to come quicker than the pension check.
The last time I wore my dress greens I was 25 years old, it was 1996, and I weighed 130lbs. I'm now 53 years old and weigh 200lbs. Yeah, that wouldn't work for me.
This is a man that all men can look to as an example of what a good man should be. And, of course, he still looks good in those dress blues. I'm sure he'll make his daughter proud and his soon to be son in law very nervous. Congratulations to them all.
Loved the sound effects of the button popping off and falling to the floor. That was golden! 😂 Wishing you all the best! I wish you, your wife, and your daughter, the groom, and family members many blessings.
Congratulations to you for making your daughter happy. Congratulations to your daughter and her husband may they live happily ever after untied as one.
Congratulations to your daughter... Wishing her many years of happiness. When my son got married he wore my Hubby's dress blue blouse that he had tailored..... he looked soooo handsome and the pride that showed in Hubby's eyes was priceless.... i LOVE a man in uniform!!!!!
Hahah....lordy but you crack me up. In fact, you know Nick, you'd be really entertaining in a sitcom. You've got the looks, the timing, and the delivery. You put a smile on my face. God bless you and your family.
A good tailor might be a worthy investment for your comfort. I had two daughters who got married four months apart. Fortunately they didn’t request my dress greens. God bless your family and congratulations!
😂😂😂... Looks like you got in to them, now get out of them!! 🤣 Thank you for your service both in the military and now. The country needs more patriots like yourself.
Corset might help, still wont be able to breathe, but you'll have a lovely shape 😂😂 Congratulations to you and your daughter, and thanks for your service!
I hear ya Nick, but more important I heard them dress blues screaming for backup on the button move 🤣 Again congrats on your daughter’s upcoming day my dude. What the hell, congrats to those blues too 🫡
Those buttons deserve a medal of valor for as bravely as they are holding on for dear life
Funniest comment.....and facts! 🤣😂🤣
Purple Heart for one of them.
The jacket on the other hand, should be court-martialed for attempting to suffocate an officer.
One of them broke and made a run for it. Dirty deserter!
Above and beyond the call of duty
