    What I didn’t show in the video is that during the “after” compression test, it took me multiple attempts to get a result as it kept blowing the valve in my compression tester. I went through 3 or 4 of my spare valves trying to get a result! Seems the compression is a bit higher than it’s supposed to be 🤷

    I'm always tempted to poor stuff into the engine, particularly the injection cleaner and petrol system cleaner so this is right up my street.
    I shall follow your instructions to the letter although the sleeves on my pullover will be in considerably better condition.👍

    It looks like a good product as it worked at getting rid of the smoke and for normalising your compression. I've used seafoam treatment in the fuel and intake of my 1995 peugeot 205 1.6 before and that made the engine run a lot better while reducing the plumes of smoke the shitter would chuck out the. I'll have to try a can of this in my kia ceed crdi as i have some noisy tappets and bad cold start performance but that could be due to old glowplugs. nice informative video as always man!

    • @StupidBlokeStupidVideos
      @StupidBlokeStupidVideos  Před měsícem +1

      Thanks mate. I had starting issues with my bosses Kia Soul a while ago, changing the glow plugs fixed it although they weren’t actually needed to start the car. It is direct injection so will start fine without them unless it’s extremely cold, however I suspected that the ecu is programmed not to inject fuel until enough heat is sensed by the egt sensor, so it would turn over for a long time and eventually when the temperature threshold was reached it would fire into life with no smoke etc. I think it’s for emissions to avoid smoke on start and not block the dpf. If you try this stuff in yours, make sure let us know your findings!

    Great vlog cheers. I am using a fuel additive wynns with the E10 and seems to make the car run like it’s on higher octane. Was dubious but in both old cars of mine. I can feel the car much smoother and pick up better. Cost s a little but keep my cars. Ones ayaris with this engine and think made bigger difference in that than other car. Done well over 100k fault free miles. I can get my mum to knit you a new jumper if you like hoops on the arms and end of line colours😂 😂. U can recycle yours into a sleeveless sexy number😂

    Is this the same Citroen C1 you tried this on a few years ago? It looks like now it actually needed it. The stuff works. I've used on junk lawnmowers with worn out rings and bad cylinder bores and it never fails to stop the oil burning. I don't know how well it would work on newer engines whose oil burning is from sludged up oil control rings.

    So with these engines being renowned for burning oil, in your expert opinion, would this slow that down at all? It gets a bit boring topping it up every so often, so I fancy a cheap remedy.

    • @StupidBlokeStupidVideos
      @StupidBlokeStupidVideos  Před měsícem

      Well technically I can’t recommend it due to it not being recommended on these engines by the manufacturer because of the VVT, but it seems to have done mine the world of good! I’ll add into the description if I notice and long term effects as they happen over the coming months of it being in the car

    Thats the Daihatsu 3 cylinder motor isn't it aftee all Toyota owns Daihatsu so the engines should be fine and you didn't mention how many miles your Citroen had done as for the compression test spot on and that stop smoke worked no more smoke also when you reved it up l could hear the engine bouncing of the rev limited not good practice with any engine and also cold and drive a little easier don't thrash it infact my 1997 Hilux with 437000 kilometres on it does not burn any oil but it has great low down torque l don't have to thash it to get anywhere but after all its a 22R motor and it is one of the most reliable engines ever made and is good for at least 800000 kilometres

    If you keep touching the C1 engine one day you will get the pistons in your hands.
    This is what we say in Greece about someone who pushes his engine exclusively and for no reason.
