      I have a 2022 chevy 1.5 turbo engine the manual says not to use oil additive, what's your opinion. I want my engine to last as long as I can.

      I have a 2022 Vanderhall, it's a 3 wheel motorcycle or some call it a auto cycle. It has a chevy 1.5 turbo engine and wanting to know what you feel about putting a oil additive because of the heat from the turbo making the oil hotter than a non turbo engine. I change the oil every 3000 miles. I bought bestline oil additive but haven't used it yet. I hope to hear from you. Happy Holidays

    I never used MMO in the crankcase until I saw your video. I’ve only used it in the fuel tank and for storing small engines. My 87 Dodge pickup has had a lifter tick for years, it would come and go didn’t matter if the engine was hot or cold. When I did an oil change I substituted a quart with MMO and I haven’t heard the lifter tick since. Have a great day Rich 💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏✝️

    My Dakota 318 Magnum with 200k, developed a lifter tick a few days after dropping the pan and putting in a new rear main seal and oil pump. An old school mechanic friend suggested adding about 3/4 qt. of Dextron trans fluid to the oil (for its' detergent characteristics). His opinion was that it may have gotten a bit of trash in the lifters. The results were not immediate, but after about 5-6 hundred miles the tick went away. I haven't heard it since. The engine uses less than a quart between changes and runs smooth for the miles. Have a great day Rich and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.🦃

Thank you Rich for another truthful and educational video sir. God Bless & my best to the family. TMP from N.J.

    I haven't seen the bearing testers that you mentioned. Many years ago the BG reps put on a demonstration using a simple machine that had an electric motor, two ball bearings and a 1/2'" beam torque wrench. They put a sample of our bulk oil on the bearings and applied torque via the wrench. The bearings seized with little effort. They then applied MOA to the bearings and were able to apply much more torque without seizing the bearings.
    My dad had an 88 Chevy 1500 with a 305 that had 300k. The truck sat for quite awhile. Once it was back in service it was consuming oil. I tried various oil additives that claimed to reduce oil consumption and nothing worked. My dad claimed that before the truck was parked it didn't consume oil. You just can't say anything bad about his beloved Chevrolets. 🤣🤣 I think most of the additives sold on parts store shelves are just snake oils. BG products are great products. 25 years ago BG was only sold to shops via a distributor. Now they are available to the general public. I actually saw BG on O'Reilly's shelves.

    When they demonstrate the oil on a running car and it smoothed out. It's most likely they had a jack underneath the oil pan. When they started pouring in the oil after a second they started jacking up on the oil pan to. Reduce vibrations in the engine Although you can't see that

    Hi, the prolube has just arrived and I would like to put it in the oil of a Kia Sorento Diesel 2.5 L, I'm curious if anything changes!! Some time ago I used SINTOFLON (and it has a Teflon base) on a 2000 BMW 320 Diesel and the only thing good and that at minimum rpm the engine ran really well, but I didn't notice other changes. On the bike I used Ceramic liquid power but I didn't think anything had changed (I admit that I only used half the quantity). I'll be back tomorrow with a comment and I can make a little video of the prolube. Greetings from Italy

    Even the owner of this company puts videos on tiktok and won't do a real test himself. He just loads up a bearing with variable amounts of pressure using his hand and will just add some prolube to another oil. he has a bearing running in a cup that's half full, he adds some force, the bearing squeals, he fills the cup all the way with prolube, squeal goes away. I've yet to see a real test with it with quantitative data, controls, etc

    This odd you’re testing this product cause I just watched another channel have a major problem with prolube…..went to pour it out of the brand new bottle and it was nothing but sludge ….he contacted prolube about it and they were interested in seeing what had happened.
    Idk about this product….makes me nervous …
    I think I’d rather stick to Lucas products.

    • @FordBossMe
      @FordBossMe  Před 9 měsíci +7

      I don't even know why people would use Lucas instead of a thicker oil because Lucas doesn't have any additive that's going to actually help your oil all it does is make itself stick to metal that's it it has no additive and when you dump Lucas in with regular oil you dilute the ad pack that's in the regular oil so why not just go to a thicker oil so it has a complete balanced ad pack

    • @markcole6475
      @markcole6475 Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@FordBossMe I’ve just used it on older engines and transmission …..also use it for engine assembling …it’s super sticky and very slippery.
      Yes it doesn’t have much for additives but I’ve used it in many transmissions that we’re having issues and it did help to get longer life out of it….same with engines…
      I watched a few channels testing it and even Scotty Kilmer tested it on a trans issue and it fixed a delayed shift problem.
      I’ve used the trans additive more than the engine additive….i remember one particular time with an 03 dodge Durango …very slow engagement into gear when cold….like drop in gear and 5-6 seconds later it would move. After the truck was warmed up it shifted in gear normally …….(trans was not burned up for say …had normal trans services)
      About a week of driving and trans shifted into gear cold like normal. 1-2 seconds … figuring the seals were hardened and the Lucas helped soften them back up.
