Do you have any recommendations on replacing the speakers themselves?
If so, should I replace all speakers, or can I replace in pairs as desired?
And finally, when replacing the speakers, can I just "plug and play" since the existing wiring is so new?
@@andrewdiaz1631 You can replace in pairs, sure, but they won't be plug and play. For front and rear doors, you will need the Metra 72-7302 wiring harness adapters, and the Pac / AI HKSB110 Bracket adapters. Also if you have the factory Infinity sound system, you may also have to be conscientious of the factory ohm of those speakers.
@@donnadetwiler6252 We used a test tone and polarity pop to determine our positive / negative.
This is an Old post but I have to add. I have the 22 Tucson Premium Bose. Installing any Amp and or Subwoofer under the passenger seat would cause the Amp to Overheat as soon as the heater is turned on. For those of us in Southern states this really isn't an issue. But for those folks in Northern states this would create a problem. Also.. Video is Decent. I would like to add that Attempting to Send Power Wire through Wire Harness is very difficult in a Gasoline Model as the Battery placement makes it extremely difficult to manueaver around. For those of you who where concerned about Taping both channels... This is :MONO: AMP and therefore... no channels are needed you are only taping the speaker for mono. If you where attemping to install a "2 Channel AMP" then... you need to find another way.
I have an Elantra hybrid. Thanks for the hybrid information :)
Just to let you know, if you're doing the driver side it's the Yellow and Black cables that are twisted together.
Thankyou very informative video
Thanks for posting this detailed video. Much needed.
Great video.
I have a 2023 Hyundai Elantra hybrid "blue" model non Bose and I was wondering if you could give me advice.
I want to add a JBL Basspro Hub also the back door speakers don't put out a lot of sound compared to the front and don't sound as good. I am thinking that the rear isn't a ported design but I don't understand why the rear volume is so low it's almost like I lose 70% of the sound when I channel to the rear.
Is this normal for this car and if so how do you recommend I change it, 4 channel amp, 2 channel amp for the rear or add something. I was reading somewhere if you draw more then 20 amps it messes with the battery because it thinks there's a drain somewhere and shuts it off to combat that? since the JBL is rated for 30 amps and if you recommend an amp for the factory speakers that would put it well over that. is there something I need for that?
Would this be the same for a 2022 Elantra SEL
Wouldn't that plastic vent rattle when the speaker vibrates?
Where could I find the default AMP in a 23 Sonata ?
sound test plz
@11:42 I have 2 green wires and 1 red wire. Did you use the green wire that's at the bottom with the red wire or use the one at the top of the connector? Thanks! I have a hybrid SEL convenience if it matters.
It's the green wire found in the twisted pair with the red.
@@ProvoBeastAudio awesome, thanks!
Hello, did this vehicle have seat warmers? I am curious as to in if the sub would fit with seat warmers? Thanks!
Yes, and yes.
One more for ya... Installing Kenwood Ksc SW 11. Possible to just use the yellow power wire instead of running to the 12v under the hood?
i have the 23 hybrid limited with the bose system what about the ability to increase overall volume i feel like if i add 2 12s in the back its going to drown out the vocals alot! how could i add that and increase the output to the bose speakers
You can't add power to the bose audio system as it's all factory tuned. Bypass the bose amp, add new amp and speakers.
Thank you, that is my project for tomorrow.
Good luck!
@@ProvoBeastAudio Got it all done, your video helped. Thank you.
I have a Nissan kicks 2021and I’m trying to figure out how I would put a subwoofer in the car since the radio doesn’t have any rca jacks in it
Line out converter is what you need! amzn.to/33lRh5u
@@ProvoBeastAudio much appreciated!
I purchased a 22 Santa fe, do you know if the color code is the same? Also I was going to tap both sides ( Driver side and pass. side). Do you know where I can look up the color codses? Thanks!
If you have the Bose do not tap the speaker signal tap the low level signal coming out of the head unit. The amp does a bunch of filtering
Where do you tap into then? The rear speakers?
6:53 what is that RH thing
@Provo Beast Audio Installation. Question... I've watched several of your videos. I'm not a pro.. But Why do you Sauder your Speaker channel lines instead of T Taps? I get the Longevity portion; But is there a quality reason? It's just a Mono Amp.
I have a 2022 Hyundai Tucson Limited with a Bose system, I would like more base or louder sound. What do you recommend?
Kicker hideway 8”
The trunk is huge.. I added 2 tens
In a box
Wouldn't that vent cause the amp to overheat in the winter?
I agree.. If the heater is running... This would overheat this Amp Quick.
Have you done one with the bose system? I have it and the 9 inch sub is lacking. I was hoping to either swap it for a new sub or add a sub.
I’m in the same boat, but I want to maintain the Bose sub. I found something on a forum about wiring, but it still makes me nervous lol
Did you disconnect and bypass the oem amp in the back?
Nope, we are simply just adding to the factory audio system. This powered sub is a standalone unit. If we ended up adding a 4 or 5 channel amp, then yes, that would be necessary.
Why is that you don't need to tap both left and right speakers?
This is a Mono Amp... you don't need 2 Channels.
Nice job for explain this. I got a Tuscon 2022 and looking to add a Sub. Is it possible to get easily a stereo sound for the sub for not loosing bass with getting the sound from juste 1 channel ??
If you are .. "adding" a "Subwoofer".. you only need "MONO"... if you are attempting to add a 2 Channel Amplifer and then use both Channels you will need to find another way.
Did this have the Bose Sound?
Nope, non Bose.
Do you think this process will work with a 2021 Santa Fe?
Will this mess with warranty?
Yes
It would be better to take the time to tap in the audio from both channels not just one. Great video though
Curious as to why?
@@andrewhite4431 I gave up on this project and didn't bother doing it to my gfs car. I put it in my mustang instead, but when rca cable comes off head unit you normally have left and right input going to amplifier.
Would this void a car warranty
Nope.
Yes. Once you alter factory wiring harness you own any PCM, BCM, ECM and all controller modules and all onboard computers. A tap is a modification as it injects signals and/or voltage into the vehicle system that is uncontrolled.
Call Hyundai and ask.
@@prebaned that's not true lookup the Magnuson-Moss Warranty act
lol so confident in the way you word your reply, despite it being completely wrong.@@prebaned
I understand this is old
And I have a 2017 Tucson
Trying to install sub/amp I already have
The power cable I understand and that’s easy
For me - I have factory stereo so I am assuming I’ll have to take dash apart and pull unit out the I don’t have LOC - I have RCA wires (one end has the plug and the other is just wire) I planned to tap the wires behind the factory radio and then run those RCA (with male ends) down the driver side then plug into the amp
Does this make any sense ? ^
12v is in the rear of the car so much easier to run wires.
12v rear is using 22G Wire.. designed for 5amps... You cannot run a "normal" amplifier successfully thru 5amps. This would burn out the fuse quickly. If you are referring to using the 12v as a "Remote turn on" then yes.. this could work. However... bare in mind that Tapping a 12v doesn't necessarily mean you get Power on Accessory.
@@Cybrid98 the actual 12V battery is in the back of the car that is what I’m referring to. Obviously all normal car electronics that do not require high voltage still require the standard 12V battery which once again is located in the rear of the vehicle.
@@TrenDMuzic I'm thinking you are referring to a Hybrid. On a Gasoline It's in the front of the car. But good to know!
@@Cybrid98 yes I’m referring to hybrid because that is exactly what is in the video. Sadly, he did not include it in the title, but that’s why I was referring to it the way I was.
@@TrenDMuzic 100%... It should be in the Title... Secondly.. If the Car battery is in the rear.. There should have never been a Power Wire Tapped in the Fuse Relay in the front. Thanks for pointing this out.
Nice.
can you make video for 2023 Palisade Calligraphy?
Someone hell
How do we even know it worked?….
Yes before doing this I would like to hear the bass response.
Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Seems that you are losing half of your base signal by not tapping into both the left and right speaker channels.
I found a list of wire colors for this model, and it says green is positive and red negative! i.redd.it/yopctniq0pt71.jpg
