Miata NB1 VVT swapped comparing VVT off and on

  • 1999 NB1 Miata 5 speed with VVT engine, VICS intake manifold, stock NB1 ECU, with VVTUNER controlling VVT. The VVT pulls also have a Cobalt Cold Air Intake added. Stopwatch shows about 1-1.5 seconds or so quicker on second and third gear pulls with VVT active. Gains are below 5000rpm from the increased torque of the VVT advancing the intake timing down low.

    I'm a little late to the party but it pulls like you put a lighter flywheel in, overall good mod buddy

      Thank you, It does have a lighter flywheel. Also a VICS manifold

    how did you get the vvt connected are you using a different harness?
