I was just about to say "you missed the 1860" but you saved it last minute. 🤣🤣
This took me back. In the late 60’s I collected pennies and halfpennies and had almost a full set. Before decimalisation pennies were worth little due to inflation but we were sad to see them go all the same even if we kept the old 'silver' shillings and florins for a few years, until the next coin downsizing. Thank you I could almost smell them.
"They travel across light-years of space, they must be far more advanced than humans, and then when they get here they forget to put the brakes on." 😄 I had a good chuckle at that!
I always enjoy seeing some vintage copper, especially that King George IV. Thanks for showing them on your channel.
Congratulations on finding the 1946 and 1909 dot pennies. Best of luck!
Nice and relaxing to see all the history of the monarchy through the ages in pennies. I could become a collector.
That 1915 reminded me of when I was a kid putting pennies on the railroad tracks. Although I only ever put US cents on the tracks they smashed much flatter.
Watched it right through without a break. It was certainly a marathon hunt! Some great finds in the two dot pennies , the George IV, and the Australian pennies. And the mug got fed as well . Nice one Paul 👍
Chers Glen. It was a bit of a long video, but I was happy with those dot pennies 👍
A lot of cool finds. I must be a nerd because I love these hunts
i have a 1918 penny with a story my grandad was a gunner in the war and was hit by shrapnel in the leg and his leg was saved by a penny that was in his pocket if he did not have the penny in his pocket he would of lost his leg. so i call it my lucky penny
You said the best thing is going through pre-decimal pennies, the next best thing is watching someone go through some pre decimal pennies 😊
Some fantastic finds including the 1946 dot and the 1820’s George IV 😊
Great stuff 👍🏻
Thanks smiffy 👍
It was a long one, but well worth the viewing. Your style of commentary is spot-on..
Thank you Gordon👍
Paul, I was delighted to see you so excited about the 1946 dash. I always enjoy your old penny hunts! I hope you manage to get in contact with your regular suppliers so we can see more. Thank you!
Hi Paul, your penny hunts have incentivised me to bring mine down from the loft, sort them and buy an album to display them. Thank you.
Thanks Graham, I hope you find something good 👍
Cracking hunt sir, and not plagued with as many 67s as expected, glad I watched to the very end so I didnt have to tell you about the 1860.
Fantastic full length directors cut ...just didn't want it to end
The 1911 is a beauty, and what a find, the 1946 dot - I've never found one.
Another interesting video. Lovely range of finds and some nice upgrades for your folder.
Wow that board filled out quickly, thanks as always CP 😊
Glad to see another penny hunt video, I find them so soothing. Some lovely fines this time too. Thank you
What a marathon, but some fantastic finds! Even an upgrade for your own album! Thanks again for these videos, really like them a lot!
Welcome back! I wondered where you’d gone! Great video and I love the full length version. Don’t leave it so long next time!
That was a very enjoyable hunt. Thank you, Paul!
In the same way that you like stamped coins, I have an affection for coins with holes through them. It was fun to see a few of those coming up.
It's been a long time coming since the last one, but this old penny hunt was well worth the wait. Thank you once again for a thoroughly entertaining video.
I've just been on a coin spree on eBay. Wednesday will be a day of coins! Great video!
This sorta video is what I've been looking for a long time. I've literally kilos and kilos of these I hope from your videos I'll educate myself on which ones demand a collectors premium
Epic video and some great finds along the way. It just shows you that there are loads of rare and interesting old pennies out there still.
what a marathon sesh that was. Love these penny searches, they are like an ASMR video to me 🙂
Some really nice specials in this run. i have to admit I watched in 2 sessions but thoroughly enjoyed this video. thank You.
I love a super long coin hunt! Pleased you got a couple of upgrades.
enjoyed the longer format and some cracking finds, nice to see the monarch with all their features
Quite the good selection for the fewer coins searched. Thanks for the video!
Wow, congrats on the 46 Dot penny and very generous of you to include it in the give away.
The pennies are interesting, of course, but it's the stuff that ISN'T a penny that's even more interesting to me. Great hunt!
Nice 1946 and 1909 dots. I love these hunts. Thank you. And the 1884 and 1911 were excellent.
That 1915 penny reminds me, that when we were young (some 65 years ago) we put pennies on the local rail line and this looks like the same streached result.
Great video. Appreciate that you give these away to viewers. These would be an awesome addition to my foreign coin collection.
Love these videos. Glad you've found another supplier. That 1900 cog-wheel is interesting.
Incredible luck finding that 1946 dot penny! great hunt, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for another great video, Paul. - what a box of delights - so many great finds! The 1909 and 1946 'dot' pennies were the stars. The 1911 in super condition was also splendid, not to mention the George IV penny (probably either 1825 or 1826), the 1916 recessed ear and the 2 x 1902 LT. Shame the Jubilee head 1893 silver threepenny bit was not in better condition as it is a quite a rare coin. 1893 was the year the veil head was introduced on silver coins and the Jubilee head was only minted on a few threepences and even fewer sixpences that year. A top grade 1893 Jubilee head threepence is worth the better part of £500, and an equivalent sixpence would probably set you back in excess of £6,000!
I thought I had seen an 1860 but was beginning to think it was just a figbox of my imagination. Some odd cut and stamped coins too. Hope you enjoyed your coffee after this marathon!
Hi Paul its great to see some pennies again the 1933 Australia penny all so has a error with the second 3 stamped over a 2 check the one you found it may be one cheers mate thanks for sharing. 👍🇦🇺👊
Hi Michael, thanks for the tip. I put it under the microscope but it's just a normal 3 👍
Always love a good pre-decimal penny hunt. Would have watched if it were 4 hours long. Thought you had forgotten the 1860, but you slipped it on the board at the last minute. Great video, keep them coming.
That was a superb 46 dot penny, congratulations on your first in a hunt. Lovely 1884 upgrade too. Blimey another dot penny 1909. I’m pretty sure it is. A very successful search & the 1967’s didn’t overwhelm the hunt I thought.
I never know what to expect when I buy these batches Ian, but I was very pleased whith this one. 👍
i feel this was your most enjoyable penny hunt CP! For me the tops was the 1909 dot--just so rare- and then of course the '46 dot plus two gems from 1884 and 1911.. In contrast no 1944, surely the most common penny to never appear in a hunt but so many years accounted for in just a 400 coin box... you could tell it was a new supplier as no Irish or Jersey's
Nice hunt. I've been missing these penny hunts. Thanks
Thanks, I love the big box penny hunts.
Always like watching your videos, always look forward to the next one , a little jealous you always have these big batches of coins but overall great channel
Loved the Hunt Paul Thanks -- 1911 upgrade & Dot pennies were fantastic My favorite though was the Vic 1900 with the edges filed by a bored Fitter & turner
Best hour and twenty minutes I’ve spent. I’m usually talking to you, saying, “nope high tide” or “just dirt”! Love the long videos with all the education thrown in. I did see you pass a 1927 earlier that you didn’t put down, but ended up getting another one anyway. I don’t subscribe to many channels, but definitely subbed and 👍🏻 to you. Love your sense of humour as well. How much for a 1933, dot penny with low tide, single line, double stamped 9?
another brilliant hunt, I must make a list of varieties and go through my pennies again. Keep 'em comin'!
Some nice finds like 1946 dot. Love this show.
Really enjoyed this video very good information on the coins keep them coming
Very good spread of dates. Great 1946 and 1909 dot pennies. Excellent value for money Paul 💰 😊
Absolutely amazing! Love these hunts. Very nice coins you found yourself😁
Great video! Love the good old penny hunts! I love that quirky 1900 Victoria penny. Don’t see that every day!
Yes, someone went to a lot of effort decorating that penny. 👍
@@CoinPatrolindeed they did! Very interesting
I never knew there were so many old pennies still knocking about
Wow, lots of good finds, love the dots and the Aussie pennies.
Love these videos, thank you
Always enjoy the videos. It got me back into colecting.
Not bad for a smaller hunt with 1967 coins included. Nice find on the 1946 dash!
You’re right there’s nothing better than searching through old coins. A good hunt I enjoy them all. And have learned so much. Thank you
Hi Paul, thank you for another great video.I think you have had some great finds in this box, and I hope you get many more like this one. From JRS.
Cheers John 👍
Nice to see another penny hunt, and I liked the longer video!
Quite a lot of interesting finds this time! I would love a video about all the stamped coins and oddities you've found over the years.
Here's something that puzzles me. If the Royal Mint saw the need to ask the H & KN mints to produce coins in 1919 to help with a "shortage", why were no coins produced between 1923 & 1925 only a few years later?
Just found your channel, some great finds especially the dot penny. Just subscribed!
What a stunning 1884 penny that you found. And what a find with the 1946 dot penny 👍
really enjoyed the hunt mate and a nice find with the dot penny 👍 good luck to everyone that enters 🤘
hi paul glad to c u back my friend . lets get on with then finding these lovely pennies love these hunts
Cheers Wayne 👍
Thanks for another great video. Some nice finds and upgrades for your Whitman folders. agree with you that the star is the 1946 dot penny.
I enjoyed the mega hunt Paul as I deffo didn't have anything better to do. Some great finds, nice to see some album upgrades. Very generous of you to include the '46 dot penny although I think you should keep and sell it to help with your costs.
Great Hunt, very enjoyable.some very nice finds including the dot pennies and very generous of you to put one on the board, but my favourites were the 1884 & 1911 pennies
Just received a box of old pennies and I’ll be doing my own little date run soon
Great watching your videos to get info I didn’t know
Keep it up ❤
Nice one John. Will you be making a video on them?
Many thanks for the video, really enjoyed it. So now I'll just have to locate my father's old penny collection again and take a closer look at any 1946's !
First time watching one of these videos as soon as its come out. Great video
Another awesome video. This would be absolutely perfect for my son who loves to watch your videos!!! Perhaps the stars may align or something😂 Love these penny hunts, keep ‘em coming, and hello from the states😊
P.S. Those were some beauties that you found. Congrats🎉
Reminds me of when I started collecting coins in 1965. Unlike today’s coins (basically ESSO tokens) these were great to check.
I love these penny hunts. Very generous of you to include the 1946 dot penny. Pleased you could also update your album. A good buy for the price you paid.
I’ve recently been going through my old coins, I have a box full I’ve collected since I was a child, I ought to buy some collection cards and display them nicely.
I've just started collecting pennies so found this video very interesting and learnt a lot about what to look out for.
I love your video's I washed all your penny searches. it inspired me to do my own penny searching
Really enjoyed that great finds congrats on your book upgrades
Superb as always and two rarities to boot.
Wonderful finds, glad to see the return of the penny hunt. Well done Paul, a good buy.
Great hunt as always Paul, thanks for sharing and what a find 1946 dot penny!! Fantastic 👍
Love the videos,so much so actually started collecting coins again 47 years on lol 😊
The time went by fast!I did not realize the video was over 1 hour. Now time for bed.You had some nice finds.
Thanks for watching Kevin 👍
As always Paul a very informative and interesting hunt keep up the good work and thanks for your video’s 👍👍👍🍺
i had to view this coin hunt in 3 sittings.
the different supplier of the coins came up trumps with the dot coins.
love the coin hunts.
Great video thanks love the penny hunts
1911 lovely condition that was a fantastic hunt. Enjoyed your video as always
Excellent hunt with some cracking finds. 👌
A very impressive video Paul. You nicely introduce the novice (such as myself) to the apparently complicated issue of the varieties, such as the low and high tides, open and closed 3s, dots and so on. Was it my imagination, or was the occurrence of Queen Victoria pennies in this batch of 400 higher than might reasonably have been expected? There seemed an incredible number considering.
Finally, if I had a parcel of 400 pennies to open, there is absolutely no way I would wait "six or seven months" before looking inside!
What a marathon hunt and some great finds particularly the 1946 dot penny would love to add this one to my collection. Hope your old contact comes back to you please keep up with these hunts.
Cracking hunt as always CP, amazing dot pennies!
Love these hunts. Great time all around!
thx Paul great vlog again
Some great old pennies, love these hunts. 👍👍
Best coin vids on the Net mate, full of dirty old coppers. Love it.
Awesome long hunt I sat through the whole video love penny hunts
Lovely coin hunt, finding a very lovely 1911 one penny and finding a silver 1893 threepence and a 1820s George 4th copper one penny, shocking wear on that 1836 penny. And a few mint marks, low tides, commas and dotes on the coins, seems like a very good coin hunt.
Thatks Jaden. I was very happy with this lot 👍
@@CoinPatrolI have a 1891 one penny in similar condition to that 1884 penny that you found in the hunt.
