Cessna 172 Simulated Engine Failure & Landing

  • At 3000' over KTCY I simulated an engine failure and landed the plane. In the cockpit with me is my CFI, Mark Erwin, mark1aviation.com.

    fantastic! nice touchdown. Just remember 68 knots... Nice turn coordination, nice flare as well!

    nice instruction, don't be intimidated by the process. Use flaps as needed you don't have to dump in full flaps to lose altitude.

    I wonder how much easier those G1000 172s are to fly than the Cessna 172s I train in

      Honestly I like the steam gauge better. I’m training in G1000 right now and it’s good I just find the gauges better to read than the scrolling numbers. Still both good tho
