    I'm blown away by the First Officer who has worked the back of the plane as well as the ATC Tower on the way to becoming a pilot. You won't hear many men going that route.

    The crew on this flight is always great. When I worked as a dispatcher, the crew would arrive and during turn around would go buy out to buy flowers (tulips) sometimes and come back as soon as we could start boarding.

    The view outside these windows is beautiful with amazing skies, terrain, and landscape. I love seeing the rain shaft and how that rain reacted to these windows as well. Watching these pilots as they control this amazing 757 is awesome. You learn what they do and how they do it. Awesome takeoff and landing that sounds amazing by these great pilots. I enjoyed the different camera positions in this video; you see everything. Love seeing the other planes during the taxi. I also enjoy the outside plane spotting; that plane looks and sounds amazing. Amazing and beautiful plane, great airline, friendly and happy pilots, and a lot of information to hear; I love it all. Awesome video.

    in 2019 I flew from Orlando to Keflavik and from Keflavik to London. When we arrived in Iceland there was an announcement at the terminal that ALL flights would be leaving early due to an incoming storm. They weren't joking, as we were climbing the steps to the 767, the wind was so strong, the woman in front of me was almost blown over the side, if she wasn't carrying her case, she'd have gone over for sure. It was a scary takeoff but I was told, the Icelandair pilots are very very used to this

    • @RealDukeOfEarl
      @RealDukeOfEarl Před 3 lety +6

      Actually it's quite common. The decision to abort rests with the captain, so many airlines make it a policy that the captain sets take-off thrust and holds the throttle until V1. It's one less variable for the FO to worry about.

    Funny how everyone here is saying "great, smooth landing" etc. That landing was borderline outside of the touchdown zone, with a 757 on a wet runway... Wasting 900m of runway isn't a good landing in my book. I tend to believe that the captain thought the same thing, as he puts his hand back on the yoke just before touchdown, possibly preparing for calling a go-around, which would have been a perfectly good call/decision in this situation as well.

    • @daca478
      @daca478 Před 3 lety

      Exactly, those commenting are just enthusiasts, don’t even long how long was the touchdown, bunch of boot lickers. All they’re doing it’s just following SOP,

    • @drewinda810
      @drewinda810 Před 3 lety +1

      @Dirk Tonnaer That is 100% what the Captain was doing. I guessing the first time he touched the yoke at 40 feet off the deck he almost called my airplane and second was for go around. Hard to tell with the camera angle but it didn't look like to me she had it quite down the center either.

      @tommi2187 Před 3 lety +3

      Lmao funny how all of you think you know any better. You have to realise it was very windy and it gets quite complicated to land an aircraft in such strong winds. Yes the captain was kind of "bossing" her around in the icelandic parts but that's his job as the captain. If she would've floated a bit longer they should've initiated a go-around but the float wasn't that long and she managed to perform a safe and secure landing. For the record the landing was quite smooth, it wasn't perfect but they rarely are in such winds.

    • @tommi2187
      @tommi2187 Před 3 lety +3

      @@drewinda810 "It didn't look like she had it quite down the center" Where the hell were you looking? First of all it's a crosswind landing, in that case it isn't fully aligned with the center line and second it is pretty much in the center on touchdown if you look closely and follow it.
