This is extremely late and I don't even know why I'm revisiting this at 1 am but it really says something that Cody actually looks at himself and has some honest reflection (especially considering that it's JAKE PAUL criticizing him and that he didn't even do something bad in the first place) and yet Jake Paul receives constant criticism (for actual garbage shit he's done) and never even makes a Real attempt at self-reflection and change. Like, it's so fucking clear who's the better person in every way possible.

I think plenty of people unwittingly have bought into that drinking is an excuse - but end of day you are always responsible for the actions that you perpetrate on others, drinking or not. Alcohol explains stupid actions, it doesn't excuse it.
well and quite frankly if people use alcohol as an excuse, it’s usually to excuse everything, not just fights. If he already covers his tracks with “oh I was drinking and that’s why I punched that guy” then who’s to say he wouldn’t do that in other situations. It’s not something that should just be brushed off because whether you realize it or not, that’s the idea being put into impressionable people’s minds.

Noel is itching to be in that scenario. He’s been training his whole life to shut down Jake Paul to his face on camera.
Noel has some real good introspection, Cody missed Noels point about how the comedic commentary they provide can be important, even to a child. It breaks their cycle and makes then rethink.
I think that's just because Cody was clearly very upset from the whole situation and took what Jake said to heart, even if he knows he's an idiot and what Noel is saying makes sense it clearly got under his skin because he's a good guy who considers his actions and actually tries to see things from other people's point of view, I just wanted to give him a hug tbh

That's the same thing that happened to me. I'm so glad I found channels like Cody's, Noel's, Drew Gooden's, Kurtis Conner's and Danny Gonzalez's. It taught me the same things about critical thinking about the world and self awareness and I feel it made me a better person. I don't know what I'd be like now without that sort of content and I'm not entirely sure I want to find out.

this is so true. as a 16 year old girl (since jake mentioned impressionable 16 year old girls who watch cody) who looks up to so many comedians and commentary youtubers, i stumbled across videos like codys when i was a little kid, it taught me the ropes of comedy. how to make a joke. the thought process. what made people laugh, and now i can use those skills in the future. but to jake, we are all just "impressionable children who don't know any better." it also helped me learn how to take criticism, and take a joke. when you look at the world with a critical eye, you can start to become your own best critic. that's why jake never learns. because he just doesn't have that skill, nor the people around him to provide him that.
