Are you kidding? Cheng Fei is an incredibly gracious athlete, even in loss. She sent Shawn Johnson a persona gift after SJ took the gold in beam in Beijing. She's a sweetheart.
Most people think Mustafina is a diva but I think Sacramone is even more a diva when she cannot even celebrate with her own teammate.
Don't know how Alicia was surprised with the score? Her third pass made it pretty evident she wasn't going to win

yeah definitely. i love sacramone, she’s one of my favorite gymnasts but her behavior and reaction to the result was incredibly childish and immature. and also, it’s mind boggling to me that she really thought she should’ve won gold. that third pass?? really sister?? you think that deserved gold?? again, love her, but Shawn was the rightful gold medalist here.
I had been wondering about handstands in women's bars vs men's high bar for so long, and finally someone clarified...and for some reason I never remembered to look it up. Still appreciate hearing it.
@Illja3 She was probablly more upset about the pass that she underroatated..considering that's what cost her the gold...I agree she should've congratulated her...
In a recent Instagram post, Sacramone actually admitted to being a sore loser. At least she recognized it 👏. (Liukin even said "Oh , those good ol days👀" Yikes😂).

Along with that, I thought she would've at least made it to the Olympic event finals for floor. How crazy. She's pro no matter what happens.

But everyone loved his routine and in Beijing 2008 it was a totally different story in the event finals. There, he got his first Olympic medal, the bronze medal on the parallel bars event. I like his routines too.
at the Olympics in Beijing there were already 2 Americans in the floor final, Shawn and Nastia, and 2 is the maximum number of athletes a country is allowed to have qualified in an individual final, so even if Alicia had been in the first eight, she wouldn't have been allowed to enter the floor final. Still I don't remember if she was in the case or simply didn't get in the first eight. Sorry
In qualifications she came in 31st on floor. So she wasn't even close to the top 8.

I can only imagine how Shawn was feeling seeing Alicia crying right next to her. She could have at least sucked it up and acted happy for her and cried later. Really disrespectful.
Male athletes show their emotion all the time. No one criticizes them.

Well, he didn't got the gold medal because it was due to the Chinese supremacy that ruled in Beijing 2008 because the Chinese gymnasts were the ones who took most of the medals and there were also other foreign gymnasts who won their country's first medals as he did. But personally, he seems to be becoming a favorite. And I hope that in this upcoming 2009 world championships he wins the gold medal in PB. He deserves it.

Stupid judges! Anton Fokin had a fabulous routine. There weren't any mistakes. He should've won the gold.
Oh poor Shawn flanked by two frowning ladies on that podium! Not sure why Vericel couldn't crack a smile, but Alicia Sacramone... she should know enough to know that even if she was disappointed, showing it like that would come off as terrible sportsmanship. Very uncool.

also alicia makes me go mad because she was so angry there but she had to admit that she dah a mistake and shawn did better than her
