- In this episode I go offshore fishing with my buddy John Lindsey of “The Crusty Mullet” podcast. We start out trolling and finish bottom fishing. When I get home I make some amazing Wahoo poke bowls!

I for one, , feel very privileged to watch Tug catch these very rare , once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, red snapper that are seldom seen by man ! They rank right up there with the redfish which are on our Eastern shoreline that were no longer allowed to keep, I'm just decimated at the loss of these species ! 🎣🎣🎣😂😂😂.... Keep up the great work these videos are great my friend...

Man, we missed a rare opportunity on a Mahi the other day... broke my heart. thats a dream catch for me. that poke bowl looked absolutely BOMB!

When you threatened the pooch I just had to laugh. There are moments when I'm trying to talk to my wife about something important and then one of my labs barks. I stop. I go and find them. I explain to them that there are 18 reasons for them to stop barking outside in the center console of my 4Runner. My wife thinks this is cruel and unusual. In the end, they do stop barking. Win-win. This is of course a bit of levity in a tense moment. Just as long as my dogs never figure that out. Wahoo is on my bucket list. I'm 57. If it doesn't happen at least I can remember your poke' bowls. Awesome my friend. You are easily the most fun fishing channel to watch right now. Inching close to 20k Tug. Congrats.
The poke bowls would work for a lot of different fish too. Maybe I should do a 20k giveaway?

i love making Poke and Chirashi bowls because they are basically just quicker easier versions of sushi
What is Chirashi ?-
@@TugTrashOutdoors it's similar to a poke bowl. but you cut thin strips of fish like sashimi, then put them on top of a bowl of rice with things like salmon roe, japanes style rolled omelet slices, steamed shrimp or octopus... basically any good raw fish you want, and it's common to put at least 3 or 4 types of fish on them. and then of course things like cucumber, avocado, sea grapes, shredded sushi nori...
it would be good for the next time you catch a few different types of fish that are good for shishimi
it's basically like a sushi shop exploded in a bowl, in the most beautiful and tasty way possible.

Well super cool video. Love the off shore stuff. Those pok e bowls looks so good. We caught our first black fin tuna on the boat last year and was the first time we made pokebowls too. They were good also. Definitely do them again.

So when measuring the dophin, is it the nose to the inside of the tail? Just curious. I love mahi mahi but have never caught one.
It’s from the head to fork of the tail 20” so yes inside of tail

They exist here but are not super common like redfish or trout. Jax is about as far north as you will find snook and cold winters kill them off.
