Sup legend, Im a proper techy(many years in industry etc) - just commenting to let you know that noise form your pc fans is a solid indicator the bearings are going. If they do go then your pc will overheat and shutdown. Suggest fixing sooner rather than later - Fans are cheap and easy to replace - just need to open up the case and measure them to make sure you order the right size (unless your pc is made with proprietary parts - then its a pain). I know you have a hell of a lot on right now, so really im warning you so you don't have a problem and further stress.

Man Elspeth and Malakai have completely changed Katerin's campaign. Malakai destroys throgg and keeps archaon at bay, Elspeth DOGGED on Sylvania, and thrott IMMEDIATELY beelined towards my capital and died in the process. A much easier campaign than before.
Malakai absorbs all Chaos factions, Norsca, and Chaos Dwarves
The game has changed so much. In my campaign i wiped out vlad really quick and since he didnt need to bother with him Karl wiped out festus stupidly quick. For some reason Ikit claw was able to take all of athel loren and treebeard did not care for some reason. He was to busy occuping the ruins in the mountains between us. Drycha and ironfist teamed up against azhag and wiped him out. I finished off Drycha. Minus a few settlements on the coast that evil gandalf holds the empire is secure and at peace by turn 30 or so. I guess ill go help the wood elves beat back ikit claw now, and sell athel loren back to them for fat stacks of cash
@@botep5529 Yea the campaign AI is completely cooked this update I think. Karl, Katerin and Louen are all cooked by turn 50 instead of building massive empires. Might just be me because I don't play on harder difficulties but it seems like the forces of order just lose out.
I would prefer if you continue with this Aldebras Leonardus campaign (I guess Elspeth is there too).

For those interested, a way I found very efficient (for my level) way to take Pfeildorf (just to get the starting situation sorted): (VH/VH, I'm too old to micro without pause/slow button)
Set up on corner like Legend tends to on this map
Have cannons take down two towers on your left, and deal with the closest defensive tower when they build it.
Have your single entities knock down the first gate on your right.
Move Helstorm to the left on the outside, to a position where it has clear firing lines of the inside of the walls on your right.
Move most of your infantry and gunpowder units to cover your artillery in case their fliers get any ideas.
Move Nuln gunners outside the gate in a position to fire in. Maybe even a cav unit or melee infantry for support in case of fliers.
When gate is down, move your single entities inside, and make them hug the wall as much as possible under the platform between the stairs.
Fire helstorm into the blob, and also cannons if you can get them into a good position and they're not otherwise occupied.
Watch as Helstorm, Nuln gunners and potentially your cannons removes everything surrounding your single entities.
I did this when they had level 1 Wizard lord +4 extra units and it worked fine, with 800+ kills on helstorm (which means lots of schematics). More dangerous lords might make this harder. You can also influence the amount of extra units you face by "single lord sieging" it. Your lord should retreat within your closest settlements reinforcement range when they knock it off the siege every turn. YMMW.
From there on, you can kill off the horde greenskins (should be 10-16 units, depending on how long you spent recruiting in Nuln before taking Pfeildorf, and then return to Pfeildorf for replenishment.
Once the other greenskins have made a full stack, they may bugger off north if you have a decent army in Pfeildorf and are not at war with them, looking for adventure I guess. You'll know when you can see them start recruiting another stack outside the settlement.
If you recruit a new lord in Pfeildorf, you should be able to easily complete Solland one turn, and then through the power of the other lord and force marching Elspeth, take the southern fort. Both autoresolveable. Most likely, the full stack greenskin army will then be sieging Pfeildorf, and you should be able to easily autoresolve that with Elspeth.
This should have your starting situation and provinces sorted by turn 10 without too much effort.
I've also found that in the early field battles, cannons are surprisingly efficient against dire wolves, the main threat to your backline. And Helstorm to be very good in field battles to influence which enemy units reach your frontline when (while also doing lots of damage).
Imo, you want the ghouls to come quickly to your frontline, preferrably unsupported, so your guns can inflict damage to their balance of power quickly, and then turn on the lord leading their army. If you can gather as many of their other units around your single entities as possible, your helstorm will have a good day. Just remember that the two you start with are very squishy.
And I'm sure other people will find better ways of doing this. Sorry for the wall of text. :)
Definitely wanting some more of Elspeth feels like theres plenty to do for this campaign still!

I think this campaign would really profit from another episode. There are so many upcoming battles in the north with the skaven and drycha and seeing the new units in action would be a lot of fun.
This was overall a great episode.
Any hopes we can have part 2 of this campaign ?I think there is still a lot to explore

I did this:
I play on legendary but this campaign really tested me. You really need to get rid of clan Mouulder and Azazel asap. I even pushed into Norsca and gave everything to Kostaltyn. Pushed into chaos wastes and killed Daniel and gave everything to Boris meanwhile Astragoth pushed all the way to my starting province. Than I finally pushed right into badlands and chaos wastes. It's super difficult and so many things can go wrong. In my case almost every legendary dwarf is dead and I'm around turn 80, Malus pushed Boris almost to extinction and threatened me, so I needed to deal with that. Tamurkhan was big problem, Azhag pushed badlands and was coming for me. And on top of all that Kislev (Ally) was taking my mountain cities from Azhag. Hard but amazing campaign
Did you feed Slayer lord Slayer Pirates for crapstacks? Because recruitment was so ass, that seemed like the only way to hit the ground running with decent troops
@@Dmitrisnikioff no, in main Malakais army I have only heroes, so Gotrek, Felix, Ulrika, son of that other dwarf LL. And then you get 3 cannons from his story, after that I filled his army with slayers with chain axes. Ohh and Master engineer and one runesmith. So I think I have lord, 6 or 7 heroes, 4 cannons and rest are slayers with chain axes. Army works amazingly and it's also very good in auto resolve
Ohh, the recruting I did was all from his ship buildings
I would love to see you come back to this campaign! I'm working 10 hours a day rn, so I can't make livestreams, but this helps me relax in my limited time off, and the sounds of nurgle or even VC aren't relaxing in the slightest
I think you should continue but I would like to see you play Malakai. I think he has the best campaign story in awhile. FYI tho you have to be passive aggressive with Dwarfs now, bait armies to attack you or other Dwarfs then get revenge, making them you and them hated by you will increase Grudges a little but the highest amount of grudges is gained by Acts of aggresion aka beating Dwarf armies or settlements. And the more vision you have then the more grudges you will be expected to settle every ten turns so its better to keeo things in range of where your armies can reach. Like if a LL has recently captured key dwarf settlements and killed off a minor dwarf faction army then they can get 3K grudges which will trickle over to the rest of their race.
I really enjoy Elspeth so far, the changes to the Empire really makes it easier to get guns and artillery. Fun to just raise cities to the ground with it now, as there is nearly limitless ammo to go around.
Legend, as to why Warhammer might not be profitable for CA. Its probably because of Games workshop. License for Warhammer brand must be insenly pricy.

56:17 that's good to know never paid attention on my first Nuln Campaign, but seriously I enjoy it a lot. Also KF got really good rework with Commendation ( almost free levels up)
Also I agree that sound for Pistols is better but sadly not for Cannons, or Handguns they still lack punch.

the pistoliers army seems to be good at making ai group up but lacks any way to exploit that. i feel it would benefit from having a mounted mage to cast aoe spells on the blobs.
I would personally like to see Ku’gath cause I heard so many complain about him. It would be nice to see playthrough of him where the streamer isn’t constantly complaining about his mechanics
I really like the Outriders with grenade launchers. I am not familiar with how you get them, is it only 1 elector regiment / RoR that have grenade launchers? It seems to me one or two of those in the pistolier army would really speed up the battles. Thoughts?

Less entities means healing is more effective and every model has more health, but I suppose every model will rob you of more ammo

I feel that the changeling should also be able to mimic other lords on the campaign map. So the. You as the player reallyhas to wonder if it really is him or an ally.
Missed the steam, how powerful is Elspeth compared to Gelt?
Alot compared to old gelt (pre 5.0), now gelt have a really different campaing and "focus" with all the wizards stuff. Hard to say now. The purple unit are insane fully upgraded but gelt have amazing campaing mechanics now.
i really like elspeths campaign mechanics and shit but i had literally 0 challenge in my legendary campaign, vlad didnt put up any fight and i pretty much killed him by turn 10 and no one else really puts up any fight

Feels so good to not be punished for confederating other empire factions. I'm playing this as my first ToD campaign, and it is stupid easy with how powerful the new units and lord are.

I was super skeptical of the DLC after shadows, but this one feels really good.
Maybe all it took was adding to the empire. Either way super glad this isnt some trash DLC again

It would be a shame to stop this campaign before we really got to see some of the other amethyst units, as much as I love the dwarves and want to see their own stream, I can wait for that. I would love to see this go for at least one more day.
Id wager he is going to stream dwarfs next. Then base which one to continue off views. What i would do.
To the person who said his game crashed every time you click on a settlement. I had a similar problem with Empire tw. Every time I hit the end turn the game would crash. I would start a new game and have no issues. Come to find out I had too many save files saved. Once I deleted it the game no longer crashed. Hope this helps.
Do part 2 of this campaing it was getting fun, also one thing i noticed in RoC Elsphen campaing its a lot harder than this, you start with less units and w/o helstorm rockets
I am sure all 5 people who like RoC would enjoy seeing Legend suffer.

@Krelian89 I will be honest, I have not played RoC since February 2022. From what you say RoC is ok when not racing for the God Bear. And after patches, I may be willing to believe that. But the base game campaign was the worst time I ever had in Total War. No reward for going into the realms, punishing traits for winning, survival battles sucked, portals spawning everywhere. And now that one can play IE without owning WH1 and WH2 it is widely believed that RoC was a time and resource sink and WH3 would be doing significantly better.
@@imperialisticvonhabsburg3149 the RoC race was a pain in the ass but the newer factions doesn't have that, i have played so far chaos dwarfs, Mother Ostankya, The changeling and this last one with Elspeth on Legendary so far, what i noticed is that in IE the enemy factions gets very passive (this happened to me in my first Elspeth campaing) but in RoC the AI was very damn aggressive.
You really need to play with malakais grape shot cannons. Its insane and silly how much damage they do. 5 cannons obliterated an entire army before they even reached my lines.
Elspeth also has access to grapeshot.
@Someguy4321 that's true. But her ship doesn't fly. Nor does she buff the Cannons quite as much iirc. Though it's close. But that aside, I'd rather play with the knights and new handgunner units for empire.

Unless Ironsides are half the number of pistols their damage output should be more considering they are firing nearly 2.5 shots to pistols 1
Playin as issabella and i almost got wrecked by von draken. she comes straight into the vampiric corruption with no fucks. those dward slayers on the mountains almost got me but i took em out and now mikalai is right there with his OP thunderbarges.

Seems the mechanical steed suffers from the same problem than they did in table top, the benefits they bring are useless to the character that can use them

keep going! I wanna see the next tier in ikitworkshop and we hardly saw amy-units in actual action.
It's so funny watching people in the chat get butt-hurt that Legend prefers CZcams over Twitch. They act like it's offensive to play video games anywhere except Twitch, and keep trying to present him with reasons to go entirely to Twitch instead of using both. (And ignoring the fact he gets about 200 times more viewers and money on and from CZcams.)
Or the people who REFUSE to try something for themselves and will ask content creators, like Legend, in a thousand different ways, if they should buy/play/try it. Like they need the content creators permission or stamp before finding out for themselves.
I would like to see one Episode of Malakais campaign first I would totally tune in either way.
I just think theres a lot of dwarf players that are reallly exited for the changes and from what I tried within a few turns it does feel way better and the Gyrocopters did quite well in an early game spam of them (especially in sieges + some dwarf warriors for grouping stuff up)
do you mind turning off the iron man mode to avoid those save lags after every bloody action

I hope you show off the new Dwarf campaign before repeating the same faction twice in a row, and then come back to one after showing all the new ones. I know a lot of Empire players are Empire-only and simply refuse to watch or play anything else, but (FAR MORE) players play everything.

I assumed he unequiped the Mech Horse because of the sound he makes to catcch the Changeling, but he forgot to equip it again ? Or was there another reason to go back to the inferior Barbed Horse.

I was thinking. You could go anywhere with Elspeth and build the teleport only when an enemy faction is a menace to a spot. This makes her an insane map stroller
