    the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. czcams.com/users/postUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.

    that tablesaw cut is a goodway to lose a finger. do not press the wood into the fence and adjust while making cuts. that motion can lead to kickback. respect the tool before you end up with nubs

    The old rule holds good. Do not cut towards your hand, especially if using a razor sharp Japanese pull saw.

      I highly doubt they're using a filter just a shop vac full of glue,saw dust,bits of nails,chucks of wood ..potentially fingers along with other safety equipment hell the shop vac might have a saw or angle grinder...fork?.. attached to it to "fix" some sort of problem .we'll find out next video with probably an even worse song

    My favorite is the wood glass table. You score some wood, glob way too much stain on with the wrong brush, then place glass on top with no way to fasten it there. Table.
    Also do not cut toward your hands. That's like toddler level safety bud. Do not do anything this guy did with power tools as they are literally how to lose limbs.

    I, too, like to make joints so loose that I can see daylight through them. Them’s called expansion joints, useful in areas of extremely high temperatures, extremely high humidity, and extremely low visibility.

    Got to 2:15 before seeing anything useful that I haven't already seen a hundred times. That's actually a pretty clever way to quickly make a bunch of matching tenons without having a tablesaw jig.

      @@CLove511 A childhood tree was claimed by high winds. I asked for a slice of the trunk. That 8 inch trunk was now more Ike 2 ft. I was very disappointed when it dried and cracked way wider then I expected. When I saw your video I was delighted at the solution, brilliant, thanks.

    Most of it is ridiculous. That orbital sanding pad holder, though? Genius. I have recently realized a problem with mine being all over the place. Definitely making something to hold all the grits i need, labeled, and maybe a slot to slide the old ones into.

    I wish talented people skilled in woodcraft or other minor artistry are appreciated in the same way as it is done in western countries. In my country India, such people barely manage to earn enough to ensure two time meal a day.
    Although, here even doctors are not appreciated, engineers left the league a decade ago, PhD scholars struggle for job and teachers are underpaid. So, a wild dream for us may be.

    Perfect, perfect, perfect. I could not make any of these joints perfect, I don't have that skill; but none of these are even close to perfect. Junior high carpentry kids can do better than this

    Just wanna point out that while a couple things from this were good, they don’t necessarily show reality or good faith.
    The fork thing as an example.
    Didn’t need to do the fork at all on that second shot, it was already lifted enough for a bar

      No it was real, but I'm not sure which wood works best. There are some very rare and niche circumstances where boiling wood to make it soft is useful. I think there is a mallet designed by/associated with Abraham Lincoln where this technique is used.
      edit: i was mistaken about the mallet but I know I've seen the boiling water technique used before! The mallet is still fascinating tho lol

    Miter saw blade teeth are angled differently than a regular blade to prevent kick backs because of how it cuts the wood. His miter saw is just plain dangerous like a lot of other “tips”. Please take down for public safety. Also 1/8 gaps aren’t “perfect”
