Zelda and Pokemon both have strong ties to the elements, so I thought what would it look like if we tried touching every Pokemon type in Tears of the Kingdom?

For electric I was thinking about stuff like electricity weapons, I forgot about the gleoks entirely
I mean I saw Lake Hylia in the background anyway. Then I remembered that Farosh doesn't spawn out of Lake Hylia in TotK.🙃

The character bio in TotK calls Hestu a “type of forest fairy” so finding a Korok would count for fairy and grass.
This is a really creative challenge, I would love to see this with other games

Pikmin (it’d have to be 3 or 4 because Winged Pikmin are the only things I can see qualifying as Fairy)

The fact that the FAIRY saved you from the DRAGON is very fun.
the roots the Master Sword was stuck in could count as grass, since grass types are pretty much any plant-based substance
and bubbulfrogs seem pretty fairy-like to me
also, everyone knows apples are dragon type
Apples are Grass type, worms are the Dragon-type part

I would've gone for "getting punched or kicked by a monster" for Fighting but your solution wasn't far off.
Why has everyone forgotten about the Yiga Clan?!
The "weird palm tree things" are archegonia! The plantlife in that area resemble mosses and liverworts, the ones to the right even have sporophytes
I think a Goron could have worked for a rock/fighting type, about as good as you could get. Nice video!
I don't exactly think we can get a faster Rock-Type than we already have.

@@PriffyViole just meant they are the closest to that, and I'm pretty sure there's a few traveling around here and there, but I can't remember if they do before or after reaching Death Mountain.
Oddly enough, there is some "traditional" goopy purple poison coded into the game and left out of bounds in some areas, but it doesn’t actually do anything. Using gloom for poison was a much better idea anyways.

Ok so to fix some of the times touching Zelda counts a psychic from the begining(not dragon till the form change), i'm not sure u touched the torch at the begining but u had to touch the fire berries on the second tutorial shrine, and for figthing either count link touching himself any time an animation allows it or count the guards at the fort
light dragon knew to keep some distance when it saw the freak was back

Personally I would have went for touching Farosh as the Electric/Dragon Type instead of a Thunder Gleeok. Less chance of horribly dying
Dying against a Gleeok is faster and easier that reaching Farosh mid flight
Heads up: The set of icons you used here mistakenly swapped Dragon and Fairy.

If you try the glider like that again, you can use Ultra Hand to lift it high up then gently place it on the ground. Then you can stand on the foot circle thing and reverse time on it, canceling the time reversal once it reaches its highest point or is over a cliff.

7:50 and this is one of my biggest gripes with TotK. It has this super intricate building system that the game really wants you to use...and it's so finicky that using a glider or a horse is almost always better.
The trick is to remove the friction at the bottom. You can either attach a sled or cart, or ultra hand the contraption up into the air / past the cliff, set it back down safely, then stand on it and rewind the glider until it's in the air with enough clearance and resume.
Both of those options allow you to take off from wherever, and you can even gain some more distance / height with the ultra hand & rewind trick.
I'm not sure the choices for psychic and fighting types hold up sure well but I do struggle to think of a better suited alternative XD Fun vid!
i could see a yiga clan member or sheika guard for fighting, but yeah, got nothing for the other. :v

Like lynels are the most fighting coded beasts I ever did see, but I think k the reasoning checks out. Maybe the constructs are fighting steel or fighting psychic?
I'd allow Rauru and his abilities count for Psychic. It's associated with light, and has plenty of mythical and legendary members, so the magical dragon-goat-rabbit founder of Hyrule meets those criteria.
For Fighting I'd count any unarmed attack from something that _could_ use a weapon. Punched by a bokoblin: yes. Punched by a talus: no (although that _is_ Rock if you somehow missed it)

Neat idea. I could see blupees and therefore, their gems could be considered fairy type, making that type a bit easier.

I'd say the constructs are more Psychic type than Fairy type, since it's a magical force that's holding them together. But that's just me.
If you mean Psychic rather than Fighting (instead of Fairy), I agree. But the hammer dude in the first dungeon does feel like fighting, just not the peaceful or unskilled constructs.

@@BookWyrmOnAString My memory on TotK is a bit foggy, but there is an optional miniboss who has a stone fused to a long wooden stick in one of the very first places you go; at the start of the game it is capable of killing you in 1 or 2 blows which makes it memorable.
@@peperoni_pepino the game is pretty nonlinear and any enemy can use (pretty much) any weapon so that doesn’t narrow it down much. Maybe you mean a boss bokoblin?

I'd argue that touching Zelda counts as touching the Psychic type since Zelda has been shown to have several types of psychic powers before.
Heck, in the previous game BotW, she spoke to Link telepathically on several occasions.

In your opinion, if Link underwent draconification, would he become black and white like his wolf counterpart but with a white front paw due to Raul's arm? Or it would be an amber dragon due to the geomanipulation learned from the Yiga, always with the white paw. Or would it be green with a white paw with the power of winds because of the Triforce of Courage?

The Master Sword's hilt is made of Timeshift Stone, so it would count as touching rock anyway.
100+ hours into my playthrough of tears and THIS is how I find out to use ulta hand on the castle gates 😂
