Just like fishing. My best advice is get out on the water. Time in the water is the best teacher.
Fly tying is no different. Jump right in. Your way is the right way. Let your imagination go wild and have fun along the way.
Satisfaction guaranteed because there is no better feeling than catching a Kokanee on lure you built.
    Thanks so much for watching.

Not sure if I’m the Matthew that gave you the idea for this video, but here I am a year later, jacked up about Kokanee fishing again, and watching more of your videos. :-). Over the past couple years I’ve started tying some tube flies, and I don’t think I will be going back to normal flies for trolling. Well done on the videos. They are always very entertaining and I love when you show your fly tying materials and fly tying concepts.

Awesome video on how to make your own flys pretty cool.
I had a friend make me three tube flys for coho fishing the sound god do they work I wish I could take a picture of them and send it to you so you could make me a few more of them I would pay but all my fishing stuff is packed up for storage going through a divorce so no fishing yet probably will sell my boat and everything else but hop not so I can you the picture of the flys.
Thanks for the great work and video

I made a fly after watching one of your older videos a caught a nice big Kokanee at Berryessa down here in California. I made a video of the catch on my channel. It is so satisfying to catch a fish on a handmade lure. Thank you for sharing. I love your videos keep it up.

I tie salmon jigs so I had enough stuff to try a few tube jigs. Generic q tips with the plastic handles are perfect size for the tube. Haven't caught anything on them yet but I'm sure come April it will.

Here’s a thought for another video that I have not been able to find yet. I’ve always wanted to get out in the early to mid spring on my local lake with my boat, and my fly rod and target rising Kokanee, with just a fly rod and a tube fly, stripping it across the surface. I’m sure it can be done, I just got to give it a try. If you beat me to it, post the video!

Thanks for your videos! If you have Q-Tip with the plastic shift, they can be used for the tubes on tubeflies.. I used very little superglue for the base then put the thead on. Just a thought, thank you again

Find a whip finisher tool at the fly shop next time. It will make the head knot easier. Keep up the good work.
