- Capturing soundtracks on your RC2 controller is easy once you know how, so you can sync the audio with the footage coming from your DJI drone. I also provide you two different mic options depending on how much you want to spend. This is the third video in my Mini 4 Pro flight school/test series.

Nice job on your video. I am sure everyone would like to see a video on transferring video to a iPhone. Both lightning and Type C connectors. Again, very good job. Very informative. Larry
Thanks Larry, I'll look into posting the smartphone version soon.
DJI app
Новосибирск смотрит. Спасибо. Буду пробовать!
Надеюсь, что это работает для вас
heh, you must be about my age... "film"
great presentation. Just got my mini pro 4 and was shocked that there was no audio with the mp4, so thanks for doing this!
You're welcome Jimbo. Yeah, sometimes film just comes out instead of video...
How would you then sync up the audio from the controller screen recording to the much higher resolution video without audio from the drone?
Here's am example in my most recent video: czcams.com/video/JUX6tq3DZdI/video.html at 0:52 I'm going to record a marching band starting in August and planning for a 2 camera base system then adding the Mini 4 Pro for overhead shots. I've noticed a 1-2.2 second delay between the controller video and the audio track that needs to be aligned in post process editing, but after a while you get a hang of it...
Hi there! Great video about the X5 which I bought after viewing your vid. Questions: Since the X5 transmitters have 4gb of memory, can you download the files directly from the transmitter to your computer? Also, can you record audio without connecting the receiver to the RC and can it be downloaded to the computer as well? Thanks again for a great vid and for your reply.
Thanks. I think you can download from the mic receiver, but haven't tried that yet. Will let you know if I do.
That $20 really doesn't sound that bad especially for just some regular situations
I agree, under certain conditions its just fine...
my question may be dumb, can we make the sound from the mic be inserted in the video file from the drone ? That way, no need to re sync the audio and the video on post prod.
The audio is only embedded on the controller video and there is consistently a 1-2 second lag. The video taken by/from the drone is silent...
Hi i have a wiress lavalier very similar to your economy one, cost me £25. My problem is it will not work with the RC 2 but it will in my phone etc, it seems the rc2 will not power it, the transmitter has no battery so needs power source. My question is this, does your transmitter on the low cost one have a battery and have the ability to be charged ?
Or am i missing something , thank you
My RC2 controller actually powers the mic, even the more expensive one with the internal battery, which is a very good investment by the way, gets charged while its connected...
@@MakeItorBreakItNow hi, I actually bought the Fulaim in the end. You are right it's a great piece of kit.. thanks
The question that I have is, will using 2 mics, in a stereo (2-channel, L + R) configuration, get recorded to the RC (or even the RC2) in only a mono/single channel - or a stereo/dual channel - audio track? So far, I've not been able to find an answer to that. I have both the DJI Mini 3 Pro w/ the RC & the Mini 4 Pro w/ the RC2. On occasion, I record live music events with either UAVs, and would much prefer having the ability to have a stereo audio track recorded in sync with the video. Either as a stand-alone, or able to be used as an alternative or backup, & especially with the idea of a quick, easy & compact on-site setup & footprint. I'm currently looking for directional mics, to avoid as much as possible, either the UAV, &/ surrounding crowd noise - either directional/shotgun, or parabolic.
So I tested this out and bought it to record a marching band this fall. If you use two mics, it records two mics. I tested this by mistake, actually. I was filming outside with the mic on my hat and the other mic was on the table inside and was recording both conversations at the same time so it works, At least with the $100 set I used in this video...
@@MakeItorBreakItNow, would that be the ~$120 Fulaim Wireless Mic?
while convenient to use the screen recorder it's seems overkill for editing instead of simply recording unto your mobile phone with such mic or get a dedicated recorder device, of which the audio can be easily synced with a visual clap indicator from the drone video footage. I'd love though if there is a simple recorder without a wireless connection to avoid connection issues.
True, but I don't connect my mobile phone for a whole bunch of reasons. So this option works best for me.
Nice video sir did i get u right the dji mic u said 125 $..
Respectfully, he didn't test a DJI Mic. He tested a Fulaim X5 and a $20 mic. He said the expensive one (Fulaim X5 at $125) was 1/2 the cost of a DJI. I recognize the X5, because I own one. Take another listen, and I expect you'll agree with me.
That is correct. The DJI mic is ~$250, the Fulaim X5 as of today is $109 and I'm very happy with how its working for me.
What make is the $125 mic?
FULAIM, they're now down to $109: here's a link: amzn.to/3y4ulqR
Have anyone tried the wireless mic on DJI RC?
Not yet, but I'm fairly sure if the RC has a USB C slot it will work the same way.
Please Add Chapters.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll do that, once I have a break in the action.
How is $25 1/2 the cost of a $250.
I might have mispoke, sorry about that.
I can’t take audio advise from a video with terrible audio 😂😂😂
okay, thanks for the feedback...
I think he was doing it for effect to show the difference of devices. Because in the video when testing mics it was okay
mas um amigo parabens pelo trabalho passa la tambem
obrigado
Job well done sir but to much hoop jumping brain damage for us recreational pilots.
Thanks, I'm using the $100 version on all my flights still working great.
