He did try to use it on Mirage but Mirage managed to kick Scourge’s face which destroyed his Terrorcon mask. And without the mask he became a little weaker.
The Mask Doesn't Do Anything To Scourge He Just Wears It Because Its The Symbol Of Being The Herald Of Unicron

The mask doesnt resembal anything actually its just his insignion As you can see scourge doesnt have a symbol anywhere in his alt mode but his mask is his insignion i think its a very different design and i like it but on all seriousness scourge still has the same status but prime just got the upper hand cuz he kept spamming him into the lava :/
Why did Optimus manage to defeat the Scourge on the tower, but in the museum parking lot, he couldn't?
He didn't knew Scourge back then. Now that he knew his moves, Optimus was able to finish him off.
cuz optimus was angry that Scourge oofed bumblebee oh, and optimus priem had an advantage. Advantage: he spilt lava in the beggining of the battle.

One answer I saw on Reddit was that Optimus prime thought Scourge was just any other decepticon and didn't take him too seriously. After the first fight at the museum, we can see that in the second fight in Peru, Optimus was matching up to scourge already
Also, mirage managed to kick the mask off scourge in which some says that that gives scourge some sort of power
So all of that combined Optimus was able to defeat scourge
If he defended himself with his blade rather than his cannon at the end, the fight would have lasted longer.

Scourge had that one moment to use his killing blow on Prime. It was when all those scorpion bots were overwhelming Prime and he was on the ground struggling. But it didn’t seem like Scourge’s style to execute that way. He likes to have his enemies in his grip and deliver a personal “final flash” while he stares into their eyes.

But scourge got time to use that weapon for BumbleB, coz he was almost about to give a final blow to BumbleB coz he stabbed him with his sword. Which means enough time to charge that weapon, also no one was there to stop him coz he badly damaged prime there
He got what he needs which is the transwarp key so instead of wasting his time to charge he use the other way to kill bee...
Just like when airazor interupt them and Nightbird was about to fight her he said that they already got what they wanted.

It's true, i'm agree with you because yeah you yourself noticed that this weapon charges enough long and Optimus is more difficult fighter to kill him so weapon which charges long, unlike little Mirage.
Another answer could be prime disarmed him before he used the canon prime shoved his sword into his canon so it was disabled but he later used it to shoot primes mask but after prime cut off his arm with the cannon making it impossible for him to shoot

Answer easily explained: Unicron would not allow Optimus to be killed, since he wanted him alive so he could infuse him with dark energon, make him his new henchman, and turn him in to nemesis prime. And since the electric charge claw gun can easily destroy cybertronians’ bodies or incinerate them, that weapon was definitely off-limits while trying to defeat prime and keep him alive without killing him at the same time.
suggestion: blurr in knightverse is dead. on scourges arm, we can see an elite guard badge. In TFA (transformers animated) blurr is an elite guard agent so maybe scourge killed him.
Cybertronians Have to scan Their transformation in order to transform into that mode and even Dino Bots had to scan when they were on earth
But How did Maximals were in Beast Mode before coming to earth and if they were on earth centuries ago that means they were on earth before Humans so A Gorilla 🦍 a Cheetah 🐆 A Falcon A Rhino 🦏 and other animals are out of the question

Maximals are cybertronians from different planets, they have their own planet which suits their modes. In cybertron they use vehicles. In maximals planet, they use animals on earth have a different design to their original versions which is vehicle but not very far from cybertron

Is Optimus making a secret plan to execute unicron without destroying earth? Or he didn't know unicron is earth yet?
The nemisis prime shown in the movie is complete different from other universe of transformers. Nemisis prime is that future of optimus prime where unicron makes him his slave or his disciple just like scourge in ROTB... And nemisis prime shown in the movie is just brainwashed by quintessa, she is not controlling him..... And I guess he knows about unicorn coz, when he comes to his original state, he remembers what quintessa did to him and for what purpose she used him

Scourge would've able to charge it when its prime against scourge, prime goes to the lava and throws the lava at him, apelinq attacks didn't left the weapon stop charging.
I have a theory..what if Optimus and the others on their side became stronger because of the raw energon..the reason Optimus was able to kill Scourge in their second battle even though he stood no chance against him in their first fight. The battle against Transit too powered him down.

My theory is same but I think that bcuz scourge take more that 1 day to finish the move bcuz he use it once on apelinq and on mirage but he could have charged it at a range against prime he didn't use it at any time and I think not bcuz of 7 second charge I think it takes a long time for it to charge but when he saves a lot of energy there is still a few energy left to collect hence took 7 seconds

EdformersI have a theory that scourge is beast wars megatron, and i have evidence with this theory. you see on scourges design there is a gun on one hand and a blade on another, the same way that beast wars megatron has a tail blade on one hand and a gun on the other and scourges head design can be interpreted as beast wars megatron head going by how cheetors head has changed to not have the insignea but have the thing optimus prime has and also the battle damage on scourges right face maybe if rotb gets a spinnoff movie we see beast wars megatron go through a time portal by the creation of the transwarp key to where unicron is in the galaxy flooting like how the original megatron was flooting then became galvatron maybe the damage on scourges face was created by one of the maximals. And also the designs for the maximals had some inspiration from beast mashines and beast wars and beast wars maybe this the way the beast machines could only work with the whole thing about the maximals from a cybertronian colony planet destroyed by unicron you can see that in the end of rise of the beasts scourge had an army of unicrons drones with the same eye colour as scorpanocks which are predicons that have the same eye colour as the terrorcons. Just like how beast macines megatron has a whole army of drones and the face mask that he has in beat machines. The same way that scourge has a mask. Maybe i am just reaching but who knows.
