I've read some of the comments and it seems this a a nice community, I'm glad I found your channel, Donu. A few years ago a high school friend said, not in a negative or self pitying way, that her life didn't turn out at all the way she expected. It's the same for me and I think millions can say the same. Sometimes it's hard to keep balance and perspective, but most of us who have the luxury of watching CZcams are probably pretty lucky.
Your viewpoint is utterly fascinating to me in so many apects - such a different life to mine (65-year-old unglamorous British woman), yet so many crossovers, seemingly. Please keep going with this, looking forward to accompanying you on this journey.

So much of your life in these videos has touched me, some have made me tearful. Absolutely loving your channel! I look different to you (as you were saying). I look white with dark hair, brown eyes, but have mixed heritage. Our father looked mixed, he had Black cousins; his grandmother was from Malaysia, his father's family from Ireland, resettled in Liverpool, my mother's family were English farmers from around the Yorkshire and Manchester area; white. At school because I looked different with Black hair and a slightly different tone to my skin than other children, I was called names like P@ki and asked was I P or Indian etc and because my siblings, two of the 5 looked completely White, one blonde with blue eyes, we were asked did we have different fathers! But children are cruel. Thankfully I was an excellent runner so escaped a lot of swirlies 😁 As I left school, and we went to work, nobody ever called us names (why should anyone) and our area we were very lucky to by then have a very mixed White, Black and other minorities all living together
Hi Donu, glad to make you reaquaintance. During my college days, we had a large contingent of exchange students from Africa,; Nigeria, Tanzania, zambia, ghana & SA; south east Asia and the west indies. I kept in touch with most of them; sadly except the west Indies three, all have passed on. Of our class of 123 only 5 of us chose to remain in our country, the rest all emigrated to western europe and north America. My family is large and close knit and though they are across the globe, the connections are strong. However except Mozambique and Egypt, no other African country is represented. Even though I am in the last trimester of my life, the desire for knowledge and rebellion still stirs. I will be following your channel for an African perspective as the region rarely features in the news except for war and disasters. The economics draws my attention but it cannot be separated from geography, sociology and history. The links make for great stories that enthrall our third and fourth generations. A tidbit, the only Nigerians I have interacted with in the last five years appeared to have strong criminal bent of mind. Are these the only young ones travelling the world and if so why? Till next time.
Me too! I cannot believe I can still travel and meet people from all over the world and talk turkey through YT……….we seniors can no longer be written off as knowing nothing. I am in South Africa and know of many people who have travlled to Nigeria, or who are from Nigeria. They all say the same - there is a culture of pride in tradition, and in family. In South Africa this is also true. Thank you for your channel, for being such an open, intelligent and fair person. You speak with compassion and openness that is a breath of fresh air. So much of your life in these videos has touched me, some have made me tearful. Absolutely loving your channel! I look different to you (as you were saying). I look white with dark hair, brown eyes, but have mixed heritage. Our father looked mixed, he had Black cousins; his grandmother was from Malaysia, his father's family from Ireland, resettled in Liverpool, my mother's family were English farmers from around the Yorkshire and Manchester area; white. At school because I looked different with Black hair and a slightly different tone to my skin than other children, I was called names like P@ki and asked was I P or Indian etc and because my siblings, two of the 5 looked completely White, one blonde with blue eyes, we were asked did we have different fathers! But children are cruel. Thankfully I was an excellent runner so escaped a lot of swirlies 😁 As I left school, and we went to work, nobody ever called us names (why should anyone) and our area we were very lucky to by then have a very mixed White, Black and other minorities all living together

Hi Donu, glad to make you reaquaintance. During my college days, we had a large contingent of exchange students from Africa,; Nigeria, Tanzania, zambia, ghana & SA; south east Asia and the west indies. I kept in touch with most of them; sadly except the west Indies three, all have passed on. Of our class of 123 only 5 of us chose to remain in our country, the rest all emigrated to western europe and north America. My family is large and close knit and though they are across the globe, the connections are strong. However except Mozambique and Egypt, no other African country is represented. Even though I am in the last trimester of my life, the desire for knowledge and rebellion still stirs.
I will be following your channel for an African perspective as the region rarely features in the news except for war and disasters.
The economics draws my attention but it cannot be separated from geography, sociology and history. The links make for great stories that enthrall our third and fourth generations.
A tidbit, the only Nigerians I have interacted with in the last five years appeared to have strong criminal bent of mind. Are these the only young ones travelling the world and if so why?
