    Excellent review! It’s so great to learn an easel that remains stable at 90 degrees! Everything I’ve tried is either tipped back too far, or top heavy when at a steep angle. I ordered one based on your review - thank you very much!

    I done lots of looking into these stands.... my best solution.... get a proper small wooden drawing easel instead. they are very cheap, more sturdy, minimalistic, timeless, and much more elegant than many of these plastic, metal, aluminum stands

    Ooh, I love that stand! I'm using it for my Cintiq 16 and it's so good, I promptly forgot about it while also using the tablet as a second screen. It's so sturdy and can be used for other purposes that I find it absurd to buy the Wacom stand for more when you can do more for less with this.

    Thank you for the recommendation. I bought the PR110, and based on your advice, I returned the first and picked this one up instead. I was worried about the rubber parts on the PR110 falling off. So I'm glad I picked this one up instead.

    I had this stand for my ipad pro for like 2 years now the rubber part is still fine but the lock mechanism spring has some problems it wont always lock without pushing it back manually but otherwise its been very useful.
    I never thought about using it for painting on paper though might have to try it out.

    Nice to see with your iPad & laptop, would have liked to see it with a Wacom StudoPro. Found a very inexpensive ($10 US) small stand for mine, the ApeCase stand which u may have actually recommended, but this monster working so well with a sketchbook makes me want to me see if my daughters might want it as well. ( tho' honestly the Ape stand has worked so well I'd need some heavy persuasion to toss down $40 for the Parblo...)

    This was a really informative video, I really would like to get it soon! A question for you, do you usually sit om the floor in front of this wooden table to paint?
    I keep having trouble finding a place to paint so I'm wondering if you paint on the floor or at your computer desk! 😅 To help give me an idea of how I can set up my little corner, thank youA

    • @teohyc

      I usually use this table with a black cover (frequently seen in my videos) to keep things clean.
      Ultimately, regardless of where you sit, you should be comfortable and should not feel any ache after minutes.

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  Před 2 lety +2

      I draw on the table, then put the sketchbook/paper on the stand for watercolour painting so that the water can flow downwards. There's no advantage to drawing on the stand.

    • @ny4nk0
      @ny4nk0 Před 2 lety

      @Esposita I agree, but it feels worse on my neck and shoulders to constantly be looking down. Sometimes I think non-screen tablets + a monitor might actually be better after all haha.

    • @asimian8500
      @asimian8500 Před 2 lety

      @@ny4nk0 You can use a display tablet as a drawing tablet if you mirror your monitor and look up. The advantage of the display tablet is for sketching and inking--more precision. Now, if you don't do much sketching or inking, then don't waste your money on a display tablet. I like having the best of both worlds.

    too bad the rubbery parts weren't made with silicone. Silicone holds up to freezing and high heat, it's used for potholders and ice cube trays and muffin pans. It doesn't get dry or brittle or sticky and gummy.

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  Před 3 lety +1

      So far so good. The high humidity hasn't had any effect yet on the rubber. And I hang this by the window so it gets sunlight most of the time and the sun hasn't caused any damage. Hopefully this will last.

    • @teohyc

      I don't think this can go onto an arm stand. If you need something taller, maybe use elevated laptop stands. eg www.parkablogs.com/content/review-lululook-rotating-laptop-stand

    This stand looks pretty nice. As an alternative to consider, I have the Nomakk laptop stand which seems more versatile with respect to height settings and the angle adjustments are nice. It also provides a quite solid work surface. The only problem may be the bottom brackets that hold one's tablet/laptop/paper may get in the way of painting a little so some sort of spacer might need to be added to move the painting surface up to avoid this.
