- Hi fellow gamers! I tested PUBG and FORTNITE on my laptop with 2 different nvidia drivers at 1080p resolution. 399.24 is the last recommended driver by my laptop manufacturer and 430.39 is the latest one! More details below:
- Intel® Core™ i7 7700HQ Processor
*Turbo Boost disabled
*Undervolted -0.130 v
- Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 4gb
*Undervolted - Optimized Core Clock(curve) with MSI Afterburner
*Vram Freq. +650 hz OC / 3504 stock to 4154 OC'ed
- 16 gb RAM ddr4 2400 MHz
*Dual Channel
*Single Ranks
- WD Green m.2 SSD 240 gb SATA 3
- 1 TB HDD
- Windows 10 HOME
*Some services disabled
*Fully optimized for performance
So, we have like this:
- OS fully optimized
- Game optimized
- Both cpu + gpu optimized for best performance and nice temps
- Nvidia control panel optimized settings
- App. compatibility settings
- Cpu high priority selected
- Nvidia inspector frame rate limiter tweak (v1)
Hope this helped!

First time reaching 1k views on a video and it was pretty fast for a small channel! Thank you guys!
I would appreciate the criticism even more ... instead of a simple dislike and move on. Help me evolve.
Thank you, again!
Sorry for this unsynchronized image, but i do not trust the replay system in both games ...and in general, anyway. I'll make a few tests in the near future to be sure i can use it without problems.
But, overall, the test is fine! Hope this helped even a bit!
Pubg settings: Everything to VERY LOW
Fortnite settings: Everything to LOW/OFF ... only textures on MEDIUM
I tried bunch of nvidia drivers for my gtx 1050 but 399.24 is still the best
Link of the 399.24 pls for NVIDIA 1050 LAPTOP
I own an ASUS product, so i took it from here:

(Version 24.21.13.9924) for WIN 10 64-bit.
Can you make a video doing all the optimizations on your laptop that you have in ur desc. i have the same one
czcams.com/video/jBxgcLKcdN8/video.html
I have a simple guide where i pointed almost everything i've done to my laptop. (+ solid color instead of a desktop background image and a clean/junk free/registry garbage free system)
Everytime i start my pc, i make a short maintenance and running programs like adv. system care or ccleaner. (Start using those from the beginning ... with a fresh installed OS and not a old one, full of crap. You have a risk to mess some things in your system.)
The idea is: Very clean system / No useless background services / Power plan + Nvidia settings on maximum performance / Few launch options for games ... where is possible / Undervolt both cpu and gpu (the most important thing for a laptop where the cooling system is poor) ..for better temperatures and maximum performance without thermal throttling.
Check that video for a GOOD start and decide what is best for you.
Hola que tal que controlador es bueno para un gtx 980 ti ?
Hello man great video but could you send download link for gtx 1050 laptop driver? Please i really need it

would you recommend the 417.22 for desktop users? or 399.24 is really the best driver for Pascal cards in general?
I personally stick with the latest drivers. I saw no difference between old ones and newer ones in realtime gameplay.
The most important thing is to get a smooth and enjoyable performance with no stuttering and frame drops too often.
First of all, everyone must optimize their OS and keep his pc in a good shape, well organized ...it's more important than anything else.
After your pc is in a good shape, you can start testing drivers. Most of the times, the differences are related to margin of errors.
I will make a new round of tests when the next driver version will come. (vs 399.24)
@@laptopvsgames5247 I am using 1080 Gaming X and is it 399.24 really the best version for 1080?
@@thunderboyz5069 no, as an example ... 416.64 gives you the same performance and it's newer.
You can try installing an older version first(399.24 or 416.64) and then upgrade to the last one using geforce experience.
In this way, you can easy check by yourself what is the best option for you.
I personally stick with the latest versions. I'll make new tests when the next driver will come. (vs older ones)
What drive should I use for Best Performance ?
SSD
@@laptopvsgames5247 Man I want to ask Which driver should I install Nvidia in terms of performance?
@@ahmetcevik2387 normally the latest ones are better, because they give you support for newer games or new video cards. Overall, i saw no big difference in terms of performance. In my short test, 430.39 had given me the impression of a more consistent performance .. with a smoother gameplay experience. I'm new on this subject and need to make more tests, but for the moment ... this is my short opinion.
@@laptopvsgames5247 thx
Can you test those drivers in Rainbow Six Siege ?
I'll see what i can do.
I don't have this game for the moment.
