  • Hi fellow gamers! I tested Sekiro Shadows Die Twice on my laptop with the best quality settings for 60 fps at 1080p resolution. More details below:
    - Intel® Core™ i7 7700HQ Processor
    *Turbo Boost disabled
    *Undervolted -0.130 v
    - Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 4gb
*Undervolted - Optimized Core Clock(curve) with MSI Afterburner
    *Vram Freq. +650 hz OC / 3504 stock to 4154 OC'ed
    - 16 gb RAM ddr4 2400 MHz
    *Dual Channel
    *Single Ranks
    - WD Green m.2 SSD 240 gb SATA 3
    - 1 TB HDD
    - Windows 10 HOME
    *Some services disabled
    *Fully optimized for performance
    So, we have like this:
    - OS fully optimized
    - Game optimized
    - Both cpu + gpu optimized for best performance and nice temps
    - Nvidia control panel optimized
    - App. compatibility settings
    - Cpu high priority selected
    - Nvidia inspector frame rate limiter tweak
    Hope this helped!

The game is capped at 60 fps, you can't go higher than that. You should be fine with my settings or you can drop everything to low/OFF and keep Texture Quality on medium/high.

Same specs but my Gpu and Cpu warm to even 92 °C, Know why?

      CPU: Disable Turbo Boost
Go to Search -> Type edit power plan and open -> Look for Processor power management -> Maximum processor state -> Change from 100% to 99%
Undervolt the CPU, you can use Intel XTU. As an idea, you can try -0.100 v (Core voltage offset) and go lower (like -0.105, -0.110 and so on) until your system is unstable(shutdown/restarts). You need to find by yourself what is the best value. Take care, NEVER set a POSITIVE(+) voltage, that is for overclock and you can kill your system.
GPU: I use MSI Afterburner to optimize Voltage/Frequency curve. It's a bit harder than CPU undervolt, but easy in the same way after you learn what to do.
Anyway, your first problem is the CPU. Optimize it ... and then start to search about GPU and how to optimize that curve to be stable and not freezing/crashing your games.
As an idea, again: Stock voltage for my gpu, gtx 1050: 1,2 v at max freq.
Using MSI: 0,9 v (925 mV) at max freq. Stable
But for you can be different ... maybe 950 mV, 1000 mV for max freq. You need to find by yourself.
By the way, disabling turbo boost means your cpu will stay at 2,7 - 2,8 ghz speed. It's ok, because you will not bottleneck the system, gpu will still hit 100% usage. It's a good compromise for a better price ... temperatures.
Good luck and dont mess things.
(If you are afraid or don't want to do all this stuff at the moment ... just simply disable turbo boost, you will get 10-15 degrees lower. Until you decide to go deeper on this subject.)

Thank you, I have this issue too, can I use throttlestop? Instead of intel xtu? I’m on windows 11 and the maximum processor state just shows active/passive. No percentage anymore. System specs Lenovo yoga 15ikb. Intel i7-7700hq NVIDIA 1050 2gb. 16gb ram and 500gb SSD. I recently did a clean install of windows and my cpu goes to a 100 percent while playing games while my gpu might not even get to 50
