Thanks for recommending this helicopter. I just purchased it, set it on the easiest possible setting and was totally amazed at the highly detailed scenery available in MSFS 2020. For example, not only is Saunders Field (American Civil War, Battle of the Wilderness, May 1864) clearly discernable, but the topography of the field can also be seen. Now all that I have to do is learned to fly the Bell 47 on realistic settings.
You got me. When i come across a model in MSFS with awesome audio i am smitten.

Been flying this one a bit since release and love it, mostly for the same reasons you mentioned. I have learnt one thing though, crosswind takeoff/hover bad. Crosswind takeoff/hover VERY bad.... which makes it hard when you want to start at a parking spot but the game wont let you decide which way you face.... Was trying to get a stable hover just to turn her into wind, and she just kept trying to kill me lol.
Noiiiiiiiiiiiiice! Oh wow a proper honest to goddess legend of aviation and it’s certainly been given the love and attention she deserves. The model is perfect, the attention to detail exquisite and yeah I totally agree the sounds are, well they are perfect. Sounds 100% like the real thing, that wind down sound as it’s almost stopped, wow. I went on a heli-tour in one of these years ago and knew the pilot and he let me fly a bit (obviously didn’t let me attempt anything but straight and level flight in his baby) and it was one of the greatest moments. He hand built it from a wreck he bought from an aircraft scrapyard.
Rachael I’ve wished for a PC that will play this game now I’m actively jealous of you having that! With this and the Embraer being the two aircraft that turned my want into jealousy lol

I think this helicopter will be a good add on to get, i got the Seneca V and love it, your reviews are helping people like myself to get a good idea of the product before shelling out our hard earned money. good to watch a pro review like you make rather than buying a lemon add on.

One weird thing about this add-on, places that ought to be quite landable are in fact not - you get a message that you collided with something that isn't there. Only airfields and roads work. The realistic setting is doable with quite a bit of practice (in real life students spend hours 3 feet from the ground just learning to hover). The key is to be extremely light on the controls or you lose it.
That's a flightsim thing rather than this... Ever since FS2004 days ive had crash detection off because its buggy af... if its not a 'runway' it will crash you in most cases... with addon scenery thats most stuff.
How does it compare to the Capri heli

It has been awhile since I have seen one of these in the air. No kilts or muumuus for this bird.
You mentioned auto throttle as you don’t have a collective, is this feature that can be tuned on or off and if so how??
Not sure, Its typically been a standard feature in most helicopters that aren't full depth systems recreations as no sim has ever really been full chopper centric, i meant it treats the throttle as the collective and the pitch as the throttle somewhat, always done that, since fsx at least.

Angel, is there a way to have the copilot in 1st person, do they have that as a feature? I would need that, my cp goes everywhere with me for immersion.

This is a true experience and an amazingly accurate helicopter flight model... plus it’s just so much more... visceral especially with engine and vortex modelling
How is this with a keyboard and mouse? I love the look if it and am desperately after a good helicopter but worry it won't work well as the free helicopter is a struggle
I’d not recommend flying with keyboard and mouse overall honestly
@@AvAngel it's not great but until good quality wireless flight sim peripherals exist I don't have an option as bed bound and way room is I can't make any current controllers reach my PC even with extenders with a reliable connection 😞

I love helicopters but i don't trust putting down my hard earned for one until the sim supports them native. Who knows what will break, or what wont work once they come out with the helicopter update. Who knows if we're getting a couple of free choppers with that update. its just a gamble right now to have a helicopter.
Honestly, This one is about as visceral as you can get, and as with older sims, the same rough base code exists (similar core flight model to previous) and these third party developers have done as good a job as we had then.

Nice model and a welcome addition to MSFS...but, the pilot and passenger seem to be out of scale.....much too small? I've seen several in museums and they are pretty tight in the cockpit.

The original medivac version had side attachments for litters literally on the OUTSIDE of the aircraft :D
