The best helicopter in the sim is the H145 by Hype Performance Group but it’s only available for PC
H145 also the ugliest helicopter in then sim.

@@kingpepe9649 You are 100% right. It is just a butt ugly ass helicopter. I saw one at a small airport near where I live the other day and that was my immediate thought then too.
totally agree and it is a lil ugly but it blows away any other chopper and now with the h160 nothing eles can touch the hype
My last real life copter flight was in this copter on a Vegas Grand Canyon trip in '13, which is why I got it for the Xbox. The Bell 222 is my second favorite, with the Shrike 500F rounding out the list and the Mini-500 and honorable mention.
I recall on my Vegas flight, this copter felt like it was a magic carpet ride. I wish we had an R44 for the Xbox, a great piston copter.
I also love the cool lil' Astro One which I buzz my Vegas add-on scenery in a lot.
But your video covering this copter tells the truth, and you cover the payload options as well, which embellish the copter.
@@Pilot0083 Denada! I decided after your video to take my Top Rudder ultralight and fly from North Las Vegas, over downtown Vegas, then down the strip finally landing at McCarran.
Until we got copters for the Xbox, the Top Rudder was my "low and slow" aircraft and if I set a 20 knot headwind, practically VTOL, lol.
I added many of the major city add-ons for the Xbox which lend themselves so well to Copter flying.
You youtube video creators are to be thanked because when I am not on my Xbox, I sometimes just enjoy your videos of MSFS 2020 and other sims.
I used to sim on PC's but no longer. I use a Chromebook for productivity now and some entertainment, like the cool 'virtual planetarium' Celestia, and of course my music and modest movie collection, and my Xbox only for MSFS since it is a 'no tweak' platform.
I had Xplane 11 and P3d on my old PC but it fried (though I salvaged its hard drive and bought a USB converter so I could access its files from my Chromebook).
If I ever get a new PC, I'll thus have both sims again but for me they are no contest with the release of MSFS 2020 and its fan base, simmers like you, which keep it alive.
My favourite heli has so far been the Huey. I loved it so much I went and bought it in DCS. To avoid all the mod hassle in MSFS I might have to buy this one for all my imaginary MSFS medevac and sar missions. Thanks for the heads up!
I'd 100% recommend you get this one. MUCH more satisfying than the Huey. I like the UH1 but she is a fat motherfucker that just does not like to move and this thing has like the perfect amount of agility. Really easy to get yourself into trouble with it though because of that.
Good video, very informative. The “best” helis depends on what the user enjoys when flying it. For me, the best MSFS helis are FlyInsides’ Bell 47G and Bell 206B, as I enjoy realistic flying behavior, they are challenging when used in realistic mode.
@@Pilot0083 if you want to spend your money wisely for helicopter flying, get a Pro Flight Trainer’s Puma X. BTW, I have no association with them. ✌️
That landing was a great demonstration of the missing vortex ring state (VRS) implementation ;) At zero forward speed and -2000 fpm, you would would drop like a rock and pulling collective would not stop your descent. I agree that the Cowansim H125 is a beauty and easy to fly. But still lots of potential regarding flight model and systems simulation ...
So which one is good?
@@CCitis Regarding the internal MSFS flight model, Taog's Hangar Alouette III is my favorite at the moment. If you don't mind the external app, FlyInside's 206 and 47G are really good, and simulate stuff like VRS, RBS and power limitations.

Hype h145 is a great helicopter. All I'm missing on it is flight following ground but maybe they'll implement it. A powerful rotary, greatly modeled and simulated. But it takes a couple of hours to master it, because of things like ring vortex and the SAS system that makes flying easy but not landing. They even implemented ILS approach on this thing.
And you'll get some missions but more better ones in the action pack.
But it's quite pricy.
And yes, with the h145 you'll fall right out of the sky with this kind of landing 😅

I picked this up the other day and I feel like I have to fight the stick. am I doing something wrong? I didn’t know how to set its trim so maybe this is why any way good vid and flying the Australian navy squirrel good to see ahhah
It’s my favourite also. If you click on the copilot’s headphones it changes to a full headset.
I use the H125 alongside the Parallel 42 Campout Pack to create my own Helm missions.
I would like to role play these “helm” missions as well..how do you plan your flights ?
Any idea if there are large helicopters in the works for MSFS such as the Chinook/S92/AW101 Merlin?

I have all the cowan helicopters. All of them are great. The 500 has the magnum P.I. hopper livery and the 206 has the santini air livery.
Can you move the spotlight on this heli?

I prefer the 222b by far.
@@Pilot0083 I like it as well but I Just prefer the 222b. The sound is just out of this world and the only helicopter with retractable landing gear on xbox. I mean come on...its airwolf.
