  • How much does it cost to travel in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia?
In this video, I analyse everything I spent on my recent trip to Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn.
I found it to be quite an affordable destination, although it could have definitely been cheaper in some regards!

Very much enjoyed these few videos! I'm British but lived in Vilnius for about a year (and am planning on moving back this year) so I just thought I'd leave some my own thoughts for anyone else thinking about any trips 😄
    1. You're not the only one to expect the Baltics to be cheaper, but if it's any consolation - basically all the Lithuanians I know love complaining about how expensive especially groceries are 😂 It is cheaper than the UK (especially now), but it isn't dramatic. I do think eating out is cheaper though!
    2. Flight costs can vary quite a bit - I've paid triple figures before (Christmas) as well as £30 for return tickets. £60 as a general expectation seems sensible to me though. Sidenote - if flying from Liverpool is easier than Luton or Stansted, there are flights from there to Kaunas (the Lithuanian second city) from where you should be able to get a coach to Vilnius. Kaunas is also a lovely city though, and buses from the airport into the town centre are €1!
    3. Public transport is really quite cheap in Vilnius. Either use the Traffi app or buy a bus card from a Narvesen (they are everywhere, including the airport and bus & train stations). You buy timed tickets - either 30 minutes or 1 hour - and iirc they cost maybe €0.60 each. (You do have to buy €5 minimum on the app, but one person can activate multiple tickets at once)
All three capitals are super gorgeous though! Claire, you should absolutely go back with warmer weather - summer is gorgeous in the Baltics, and there's no better way to spend and afternoon than at one of the lakes around the place 😄
