    Thanks for the video! I don’t think the four bolts that you get to by turning the handlebars, need to be removed though.

    Do u flow of intake to the ingine will that effect the bike ingine??? I have heard that the airfilter will breaks into pieces and gets inside the bike ingine that's bad. Will that happen with k&n

    I have a Akrapovic full system and recently installed a k&n filter. Could it be that the bike has lost some power?

    • @trilexi

      Why would lose power lmao , you gained a few HP

    Hi Matt, It's really worth it to replace the oem air filter by the BM-3117 K&N air filter? I ask you, because I did it, but the top speed low notoriously respect to oem. Why?, because with oem air filter I reached 151 km/h, with K&N air filter I reached 131 km/h, I'm not sure if the torque if got better with K&N air filter respect to oem air filter. I consider important to clear that only I replaced the oem air filter by k&n air filter my exhaust system it's the oem G310R BMW. Matt I appreciate your comments and explains or video if you consider. Regards, Andres from Bogota - Colombia ;-)

      Andres Cantura Interesting. Just got my G310R back from the 20.000km service. It’s not going as cleanly when cold, as it used to, and the top speed is barely above 130 kmh. I’ve been having a suspicion about the air filter. Maybe it’s an un original one? Hmm…

    • @mattingray5651
      @mattingray5651 Před 2 lety

      I am thinking about K&N air filter too. But now, I am worried based on your experience. Btw, I have 310GS instead and my top speed is 160 km, and it can reach 150km for passing easily.

  • @antoniocarlosbatista1934

    Are there any ways to remap the bike so that it reaches a higher final speed?

    • @lionhead333
      @lionhead333 Před 3 lety

      Remapping won't do much for these bikes. There are a couple of aftermarket exhaust that will give you a couple more horsepower (literally between 2 and 3 hp at peak output) but they're LOUD and cost about a third as much as the bike does.
      The best way to change top speed on these is to go down a couple teeth on the rear sprocket, but you'll lose acceleration. That's the curse of gear ratios.

    • @mattingray5651
      @mattingray5651 Před 2 lety

      The best is to reduce the weight. I have 310GS instead, and my top speed is 100 mph (or 160 km). All I did was changing rear shock (which weights 5 lbs less than OEM). Next, lithium battery and exhaust.
