Planning that display in the confines of the valley must've been quite the task for the pilot. Bravo to him! Quite a length display as well 👏🏻 🙌
In aerobatics the pilot has to stay in the “box”, but it’s extra scary when the box is delineated by mountains!

Great video. I love seeing these flight demonstrations in mountain valleys. It makes for an incredible backdrop. All my life I've been going to airshows in the western United States plus a few at sea on a carrier. I'm used to seeing the flight demonstrations done in the wide open spaces, where there is nothing for miles that they might run into. Seeing them do these maneuvers in such close proximity to terrain is mind boggling.
Boy does he have the right stuff!
What impresses me most is how well the Rafale maintains energy. Beautiful display, showing all the strengths of this amazing jet. The French just know how to do it better......

Seeing the Rafale evolve in the middle of the magnificent Swiss Alps with such agility, but at the same time not forgetting that they didn't want it x)

what catches my attention there is that quick "flip" from going straight upright, to nose down and then gaining back momentum so fast it has more energy do another of those high low yoyo. the quick flip at the apex is important. it means, thats how quick the plane is to face completely 180 degrees when being chased. thats important in dogfight. by then its opponent will be hangning high trying gaining momentum back while the rafale would have point its nose behind it.

Magnificent display against a stunning back drop. I hate to this but the Rafale might just have the edge over the RAF,s Typhoon solo display,what do you think Dafydd? Perhaps they could have a fly off duel!! 👍👍👍

you should watch other vids, the rafale won this year 2 trophies at the RIAT airshow thanks to his display...you will say im crazy but i went to oshkosh once, where i saw f22, f35...but i was far more impressed by the rafale and the display was like 30min away from my home...

Wondering how they plan their flight path for such terrain? I’m picturing 3D holographic maps …. Or do they just ‘wing it’ 😂
there is many videos in french (even by the pilot "bubu") where they explaind the key points like how fast they can go, how low, how high...
