A band is good when they release records that you do not want to stop listening to. A band is awesome when you want to see them live and continue to listen to their studio and live tracks. When a band can sound even better live than on studio tracks, they are legendary. Nightwish is legendary in my book. ❤👌😎👏🎶
For some reason all their live performances are better than studio versions.
Simple,in live perfomances they can expres themselves better.For example Floor can sing more powerful here than the studio.The syudio versions will always be softer.
It’s the engineer and producer really. I’m not exactly a fan of this live mix either, but slightly better than the album. The best mix they’ve had was from the 2013 Wacken show. I guarantee it’s not the same mix engineer. If all their albums were mixed like that show Nightwish would be wayyyy bigger than they are. I’m pretty sure the same guy mixed the Wembley show too.
Great name btw! So I researched this, and I was correct. Different mix engineers for the live and studio stuff. A guy named Kimmo did the live mixes, which sound amazing. The studio stuff lacks punch and energy, and as an engineer I can tell you why. The drums are tightly gated, vocals way too up front, which takes away from the power of the music, guitar is buried in the mix. Really a bummer IMO. I understand they are mixing many elements and want to hear them all in their own space, but it’s too sterile. You lose feel and emotion and energy. Rawness and imperfections bring character.
@@nemesisjuggernaut7920 I agree with you, that Wacken 2013 is the best sounding one ever. Better than studio and better than any other concert.
Also, the studio version is one of the very first times they perform each song. They do that before they take the songs on tour where they are then performed dozens or hundreds of times. If they recorded the same album AFTER they finish touring with it, that second version would also sound (very) different from the original. That's my theory, anyway.

We all know that Floor is amazing singer, probably the best in the world and that she can sing even the phonebook,but Elan is also amazing song,that i couldn't put in any genre ,so well written and composed,that can be performed in metal concert or pop concert and to have equal strength.
Tuomas is musical genius,but we must not forget other members like Troy,who is genius on his own ,or Emppu ,Marco and Kai.
With such a great band and songwriter any singer could shine,but with Floor it is another story and they are forming best live band in the world today by far......

It’s nice to hear great rock where the singer shows that the vocal talent is real, that the live performance sounds enough like the studio recording and that, in the case of Nightwish, even the differences heard live are actually great. Nightwish proves yet again that lots of thought, talent, craft, art and sheer effort goes into a song. They prove that metal and rock can transcend.

Same, maybe not for seven days, but I cry every time I listen to this, but for good reasons.
I've said it before and will say it again: Nighwish with Tarja sounded like Nightwish, Nightwish with Floor doesn't sound like Nightwish anymore, but something completely out of this planet. Tarja is great, Floor is great, different styles each very special in their own way. I just hope the boys realize just how lucky they were to land with Floor after the (kicking out Tarja) and Annette fiasco. I also hope they cherish and take care of her, they are all heavenly combination together (if there is such a thing!)
@@Kelly-pp1et I think you misunderstood Clarisa's comment. Nothing wrong with the new Nightwish sound. Bands evolve. The last 2 albums have been amazing whether people consider them the sound of the old Nightwish or not.

I have been a fan of NW since 2001 and while they sound different compared to their 20 years ago albums (which could also be true even if Tarja remained in the band because in the end it is the composition that changed) which pretty much happens with most band that stay for that long around, they are absolutely Amazing. And you would know if you had attended their newest virtual show. And if you call that pop...I laugh at your face really. And I do believe that I listen to way heavier music that you do normally (because it can't get heavier than what I listen to normally).

I keep being drawn back to this song. I think it is, perhaps, my favourite Nightwish song. It may be less 'complicated' than other Nightwish compositions, but it is no less compelling. It's one of those deceptively simple songs that gets under your skin, with an incredibly catchy chorus. Floor, looking and sounding stunning, as always. Beautiful harmonies by Marko and Troy, too. And all of them looking happy, and enjoying what they do. You get the impression with some bands they are simply going through the motions. Not Nightwish!

trying to listen to all there songs and so far this one is my favorite.
One of these days I want to experience a Nightwish concert with the fan base from South America 🤘 Always so energetic that they outdo the fans everywhere else, especially here in the states!
Don't get me wrong, I'm always jumping and singing along whenever I attend a Nightwish show, but the crowd where I live just isn't on that level, pretty lame but eh, as long as I'm having my fun and making the up most best of being there for my all-time favorite band! 💕
That madness will only be in argentina. The rest of south americais just meh..brazil is cool too.. but if you want the full madness...buenos aires...check ac dc live in river plate.

Knew about Nightwish for more than 15 years but never caught fire with them. Saw Floor on German TV recently , checked some of her cover songs, and eventually stumbled over the Wacken 2013 version of Ghost Love Score five days ago and I'm hooked since then. Trying to play catch-up for what I have missed these 15 yrs. They're amazing w/ either Tarja or Floor.
I loved Elan and I really enjoyed this performance. Thank you Nightwish for being exist and still awesome until now. Floor you just amazing as always.
