3:00 - yeah, "green energy" is a common claim coming out of Germany. But that's because Germany has been decommissioning their facilities and trying to setup for renewables, in a bid that is costing Germans A LOT on their power bills. Meanwhile, neighboring France has taken a different approach: ALL IN ON NUCLEAR. The Buy-in on Nuclear ain't cheap, but it's pretty clean, we just need to find a better way of dealing with the spent fuel rods, is all.
yeah and France builds their nuclear plants near the borders as a good neighbor would do :D
@Cardboard Turtle - Engineer Gaming :D I bet they'll do better next time to impress you more!
Nuclear is the best chance we have at getting clean(ish) energy untill we have a good renewable energy infrastructure.
Wow i never knew this.
Just shoot the wastes to space what could even go wrong?
Luke Smith made some time ago video and script to make your own mail server
Link please
@@winstonsmith77 hey just search for “luke smith email” sometimes in life you gotta learn to do things yourself
@@thegreatfisher thank you
@@thegreatfisher it would've been faster for you to run the search and paste the link than to write down your patronising message
@@ThaEzioAuditore should i drop the "fun at parties" line?
I would only host an email server myself if I needed the most customization options. Not for the best security possible.
Not a single Hillary Clinton joke...disappointed
That got stuffed down the memory hole, along with the rest of her crimes.
@@Luthiart Right, right. Let me guess, the Jews did it?
@@psltmtir What??
@Mental Outlaw there are a lot of shady things going on around protonmail, would you mind to create a video about that topic?
Like what?
Welp, he did answer you I guess
+unknown Not sure what you're talking about?
Thank you, sir! This is useful!
Please do not unlist this video, but instead mark it as [OUTDATED, UNSAFE] like that. Dont wanna loose this video
which is best to use now please?
@@YellowJell-O Think again after reading Disroot's Terms of Service. They can read and "process" your private email if you break their ToS which include copyright infringement, criticising someone and advocating for animal products.
@@kyomunosekaiWould you recommend posteo then? Or do you use something else?
@@kyomunosekai i genuinely wonder where you read that
I really don't understand why having a mobile app would be a positive. We're talking secure email, which means using webmail, using an app is less secure. Also, people really need to stop referring to using bitcoin as being anonymous, that couldn't be further from the truth. It's better for privacy and is something we look for in privacy focused applications, but it is in no way anonymous.
Would you mind explaining why webmail is more secure than an app? I'm still learning about this whole subject, and I don't understand how something that runs within a browser is more secure than a downloaded application.
@@InventorZahran Phone apps can abuse their privileges, not encrypt traffic, and you are increasing your threat surface by adding new apps to your phone (more ways for people to attempt exploits). Using a browser helps ensure encrypted traffic, that mail isn't saved on your phone, the website must obey the restrictions set by the browser. It's also much easier to block trackers in a browser than on the network level if using an app.
There are so many more reason, such as browser isolation helping separate your identity between different mail accounts.
Then we get to things like VPNs and Tor. Using a browser such a TorBrowser using an encrypted email service over webmail is your best bet at privacy, but it's important to keep in mind, email is insecure by design, always assume your emails can be read.
@@spaghettienforcer4896 can you explain how bitcoin is not anonymous please?
@@yourmum69_420 Watch this channel's videos on Monero vs Bitcoin (this is not the video title).
Monero is the cryptocurrency to choose for anonymity. Bitcoin transactions can easily be traced via blockchain
Webmail is less secure because of Javascript attacks
My favorite CZcamsr next to mark
Make one about secure and open source Email clients!
Self-hosted may be literally the worst, depending on what you're trying to do. "I'm doing illegal shit, that illegal shit is mainly discussed through a subreddit, reddit now requires an email address to sign up."
I have my own domains and email. I can have unlimited email addresses for various purposes. I would use free email services that don't require real identification to do anything that someone might not approve of.
Hello sir. Thanks for the video! Would you say this list is still up-to-date in 2024, or are there better options around now?
Please do a video on how to host an email server!
The video to end all of those annoying /g/ repeat posts.
Keep in mind that Bitcoin is NOT anonymous! The ledger is 100% public and transparent.
Monero for the win
I just sent 0.005 btc from one wallet to another. tell me what I bought, who am I and which one is my address.
@@Luciel_yt It takes a *lot* of effort to get and spend btc without leaving a few loose ends. why not skip all that and use a real currency like monero
@@Luciel_yt just because you said that that doesn't mean someone can see what you bought/sold. But from the ledger, organizations like NSA, can and WILL find out who you are.
Germany is a country full of green energy hahaah sadly is complicated than it sounds XD
Update from 2023: in 2021. Protonmail did start collecting IP address information about a hacker which led to his arrest. So, no, Protonmail is not your friend.
"No personal information is required to create your secure email account. By default, we do not keep any IP logs which can be linked to your anonymous email account. Your privacy comes first."
- Protonmail
Disroot app is aviable in fdroid
Can you do a video on complete tutorial to become invisible in internet.
today its very difficult to be invisible but a simple tutorial is go off grid and your invisible.
don't use it
what about kolabnow ?
The email server isn't that hardware demanding so it actually can be the cheapest of all. Raspberry pi and $8 per year of domain?
Please correct me if I'm wrong 🙃
@stillFLiP Or just keep changing it XD
@stillFLiP some countries (like mine) just have static ips
You'll need to have reverse DNS set up with your ISP along with a static IP
Most people can't do that
You do have to trust that you can really secure that server better than a company that does it for a business. There's somehwhat of a tradeoff between security and privacy for emails, which is kind of asinine.
I'm just gonna make my own email service
How about "Mailfence"?
What about mailfence?
how about mailgun
What about Mailfence?
any email can be used to receive PGP encrypted messages you just need to do it manually.
I have been looking for a reliable service for communication for a long time and now I recommend the Utopia ecosystem to everyone. Peer-to-peer network, a new type of data encryption, anonymity are the main advantages of this project.
this cinda concedicts your newest proton mail video :/
WHY DO PEOPLE THINK THAT SINCE YOU PAY WITH BITCOIN IS ANONYMOUS????? Who do you guys think has those servers????
It's not and the guy who posted knows this, he made a video on it but bitcoin is definitely better than cards or whatever
Server-to-server communication is not encrypted. GPG/PGP is a must for secure email-ing.
How about CTemplar?
CTemplar is a good option because it has built-in PGP functionality, which is very useful, and its servers are located in Iceland (where there are some of the strongest privacy-protecting laws in the world). If you choose the paid premium version, it even includes encryption of the subject-line, which most other PGP systems typically don't do.
Nothing that offers or allowes traditional payment methods is safe. Nothing that links to your personal data is safe. Your personal data is your leash. And the one who has it is your master.
Yes, but some are far less likely to invade your privacy.
@@mruwuowo4599 Yes most masters won't go in their's dog doghouse and for most dogs it's enough.
Just get some homeless dude to make the payment for you
@@ponyfucker3427 "in their's dog doghouse" nailed it 🤡

Is this video still up to date ?
No
hostinger offers email hosting.
The problem with these is, that your e-mails are still stored on a server somewhere. And Hostinger will have to provide government with the e-mails if asked by the government. So unless you store the e-mails enceypted with a key that hostinger doesn't know, it doesn't make much of a difference.
"Runs on clean energy"
As opposed to...?
Oil? Coal? Other fossil fuels?

could you make a new list without protonmail?
Why? Protonmail has to follow the law like any other service.

Nah, I'll use Gmail it has pretty colors

what is bad about tutanota, i want to know actually
@@КГБКолДжорджКостанца nothing, I guess. Oracle owns JavaScript. And oracle spies on everyone. Tutanota requires JavaScript to work.

What about onionmail tough?
Like I can do in Mail, here on my Macbook Pro, which of these will allow me to aggregate all 15 of my email address--of various brands: Gmail, Yahoo, etc--into one massive inbox? Thanks : )
Seconding this question
That's called an "email client", not an email service. There are plenty of options, but I'm not really qualified to give advice on those. Email service = company that carries and delivers your email. Email client = program on your computer that manages your email accounts from different services.
There is actually no way to do that but you can actually have a similar thing by using aliasing services like simple login or anondaddy.
im surprised to see this guy recommend protonmail a year before it's big privacy fraud incident
proton mail is an LoL I make an account two-time both are suspended and I am not able to recover my important contact account.
@V. Bendor NO I am not making 2 at a time first 1 made he was suspended and then I make another one again he was suspended I think the only reason prostomial not allow to send huge emails means 10 to 20 in a each day
does anyone have a riseup email. If so I need an invite code
i can sell one for you if you are interested, you can't get it got free tho.
tutanota good
What about CTemplar?
Dead
@@ClassifiedPerson unfortunately 😕 😔
