My great uncle was a time keeper for many many years with Essendon Districts. He died at 86 in the early 1980s. The district named an award after him. The Vincent Sharp cup

What do you mean? 80% sounding all the same is 20% short of what it should be! Or that 80% are broken and sad? There’s a couple of grounds where they are a bit warbling, and I’ve been there when you couldn’t hear the siren at one end for a quarter.
