This girl is BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD! I remember watching this when it first aired on VH1. I didn't know anything about her, but I luved her. I have her CD on Casablanca, and because it's her, I luv it. I wish her career went so much further because she's a big contender for Ms.Houston. If U don't know Ms.Ramsey, get hip to her. She's up there with Shanice. She is so BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD.
Due to the quality of this clip, you can't really hear it, but the way her voice reverberates throughout that auditorium @ 1:27..*whew!*....still sends chills through my body. I've been watching my own personal recording of this show since it aired in '03 & this performance NEVER gets old.

So, she already had a reputation when she appeared on the show. And they didnt really like that she was on the show, because THEY KNEW that she was going to be tough to compete against. That version of "I Wanna Love You Forever", she did on this show....was SICK. I mean, I actually dig Jessica Simpson's original...and I still think its the best thing she's ever done, singing-wise. But Tarralyn stole it. Tarralyn Ramsey is STILL singing, all over the country. And she's yet another example of there being so many women out here, that if given a chance, could sing the shoes off of the more famous names you think of off the top of your head.
I remember when this aired.... I would LOOOOOOVE to see someone upload the ENTIRE series of Born To Diva... but I guess nobody has the series! I wish I didn't record over it yrs ago:-(

Maurice Westbrook Well, I don't care much for Lil Mo's voice, but I love her personality. Mo seems pretty humble, to me, but I only saw her on that diva's show, so, I don't know much about her. I don't listen to her either, but I do think she sounds good. Kelly DEFINITELY thinks too highly of herself. I used to love her voice, but it seems like she lost something in her voice when she lost weight. Plus, it's like she doesn't know what to do with her voice sometimes when she sings. That's just what I see. I am totally and completely in love w/ Le'Andria Johnson's voice (young, new gospel singer). She'd outsing ANYbody..lol
You see this is not sad, God knows what He is doing. In the music industry persons have to go into some serious stuff that is not of God. What is a man profit that he gain the whole world an lost his soul? or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? Tarralyn stay with God, Do it God's way or No way. Sister in Christ.
