Wonder why Pakistan figures on almost every one of these conclaves while other countries like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, which are also countries of interest for other subsets of Indians, are somehow never discussed. Being from TN myself, I have very little interest in Pakistan and way more interest in Sri Lanka. And I find this lack of debate on Sri Lanka extremely annoying. Is this the India Today Conclave or the North India Today Conclave?

Pravin T Probably it's the legacy of Partition. Punjabis in particular are very emotional about the homes that they lost across the border. Pakistanis talk about Amritsar while Indians talk about Lahore.

Because Sri Lankans and Bangladeshis have a fucking irritating accent and since I'm living in Chennai, so do Tamilians. And if you don't wanna watch it, don't, nobody gives a flying fuck. Now there's a South India and an East India Conclave too anyway

A stark difference between the two with Kamila being extremely graceful and stateswoman-like, addressing the issues but also not coming across as angry and bigoted like Aatish Taseer was. There are hundreds of incidents of minorities' persecution in India and "Go back to Pakistan" slogans against Indian citizens that actually support that "abhorrent" idea of Pakistan that Taseer blithers on about, but Kamila struck the perfect balance between expressing the viewpoint and at the same time not being an asshole like Taseer.

True , we never talk or think of our Indian cousins as Pakistani. As a matter of fact they are more loyal than the King himself .In this case Hindus . But when they suffer : Gugrat riots , pallet gunshots killings in Kashmir, our heart goes out to them.

The moderator came across as being incompetent. She does not have a clue as to how many Indians ,relative to Pakistanis, are writing in English.
