You can tell how torn this witness was. He just lost friends but seems to also know a lot of about what happened and wants to get justice for his friends but of course doesn't want to be a snitch to melly. Pretty difficult situation to be in when you're caught in the middle. I mean he did make the statement so that proves that his conscience is telling him to do the right thing and tell what he can to get justice for his friends who were killed, but then that would be seen as him betraying melly and he can't decide which one will be best. Feel sorry for the guy to be honest.

Now he has a target on his back because in the street life you dont snitch no matter what. You don't even snitch on the person who shot you. You handle it yourself and shut up. That is what I have been saying for a while. That is exactly why Melly didn't go to the hospital with Cortlen. Because he was covered in blood blow back and gun shot residue. Melly would have been looked at by the police on the spot. His clothes would have been collected, pictures taken of the blood on him, and he would have been tested for gun shot residue that morning.

I have been in fights where it was all hands and feet. We were confident in ourselves and it showed. Didn't need weapons to feel that way. I pray everyday our world starts to improve. Declining everyday weighs heavy on our shoulders.

When I went through the court system against my abuser his defense kept bringing up my Marijuana usage as part of their defense to claim I was unreliable. I was honest about my usage of it from the very beginning. It was so infuriating because I had to keep reminding them that my abuser was also using Marijuana, we smoked it together and he was lying about it! So if we go by the defense own logic, then he should be considered unreliable as well, if not more unreliable because he was omitting the truth about it! Luckily it did not work.
When I was shot in my back 2 years ago the defense kept bringing up my bad record to say my word is unreliable making it look like I was lieing. Painting the picture like if I deserved to get shot in my back & almost killed! Dudes ended up getting 5 & 7 yrs time. Messed up 😖

As much as I think melly did it, I think it’s shorty that they arrested this guy with the only objective to get him to testify. Shot like that really makes me lose faith in justice system. To me that’s like a form of bribery.

You aren’t supposed to testify at all. You might slip up and one thing can be used to build a case like Bruce said. Him changing clothes is one piece of the puzzle. That’s snitching. Any form of testifying is snitching in the streets

For everyone that didn’t watch the whole testimony, this witness was suspicious of Melly after the incident as shown through the text messages.
He was close to one of the deceased, and I presume he believes Melly killed his friends. Witness came to court reluctantly and I guess, if he wanted to help Melly, he would have said even less than what he said! (Eg. Change of clothes).
Why, what'd he say in text messages?

I probably smoke as much as this guy and when you're a pot smoker, after a while its not like you get absolutely ripped everytime you smoke. It's more like a cigarette at that point. Yeah you get high. But its also not as intense and you can still do the things you need to do. It really helps people, like myself, who have ADHD. It allows my brain to slow down enough to where I can think more clearly without my mind racing all over the place. I can concentrate on the task at hand better. I can tell you it helps alot better than being on Adderall.

As far as the changing of clothes. For the ones who think that's normal: if you were just in a drive by, 3 feet away from your two best friends that were just murdered in front of you, and one of your first throughts is "I need to change my clothes", naw. Alex Murdaugh did the same thing. Nobody was defending him saying that was a normal thing to do.
It's not really proof of anything either though. Don't get me wrong, I think he did it, but focusing on this thing is silly for the simple reason that in traumatic situations, people do weird and unpredictable things and they don't make sense. Fixating on changing your clothes is absolutely a plausible trauma response. I don't think it was in this case, but this specific point is not productive to fixate on, simply because it makes perfect sense to do irrational things when in shock.

Good to hear about your gram. My 2 grandparents passed shortly after getting Covid off someone. They were getting older and started complaining of pain so at least they went out quick, compared to losing your mind in a nursing home. It does suck not being able to talk to my gram, idk why, but after back surgery really wanted her to see me improved. Just if felt overwhelmed talking in their house just eased my anxiety and would leave feeling good.

Its crazy that there are a lot of people spamming rat or snitch at a guy having to be truthful at a testimony of a double homicide of his two friends that he had to go or he'd get locked up. Shows what a shithole the streets really is because of these exact people in it.
Well the word is he CHOSE to testify and wasn’t subpoenaed, so wouldn’t that make him a snitch? I’m pretty sure it does, but his testimony is mostly nothing except how he confirms Melly changed clothes, but the jury already knows he did it even without his testimony.

Bruce, yes at times I used to smoke all day every day. The thing is your tolerance eventually reaches such a high point that you can still function well while smoking. A couple weeks off will make you’re tolerance shoot back down but if you don’t take a break then it doesn’t affect you as much

They are really trying to show that the cellphone belongs to Melly, and I think that could have been another way to prove that to the jury.

@@tonygonzalez8429 yes. I’m a single father and my worst fear is having something bad happen to my kids. They are all I have. So yes. When I see kids being abused and hurt it breaks me down. I don’t avoid the fact that I know these things happen, but I choose not to watch it.

Bruce you rock . :) If I was a juror , the fact he changed his clothes after 219 am after a studio is NOT suspect to me. I have been in studios and when you go home you change bc you were there long . You may also feel that u need a shower. I do not find this testimony that critical.

Unless the defense can come up with some very interesting facts and ideas to get juries mind off the ballistics, you are correct, Melly outta there and Bortland too probably. This whole situation is weird, no murder weapon, no real witnesses, 4 years later we have a trial, We can only speculate why his most damning evidence but even that seems easily arguable. You need 8 not unanimous to end someone’s life.
If Melly gets the death penalty imma be sick. If we’re saying double homicide is a crime and it’s wrong. We should at the very least be unanimous about whether they are guilty or else how are we any different then them.
