Love snow blowing videos. Just a comment. Get a front blade, make a quick pass down the driveway, windrow the snow, a second pass to blow it away. Only one slow trip required blowing to clear the drive.. I have a half mile driveway.

I have the exact same tractor with the same blower setup. It was a retirement gift to myself and I am having the time of my life with it .I do 7 driveways around my neighborhood and look forward to winter now instead of grumbling about it. Thanks for the video.👍👍🇨🇦

I have a 72 inch blower on the back like yours and a 72 inch snow pusher on the front, the pusher on the front is a game changer, I can do any type of snow removal very easily 👍
You are the second person that has actually recommended that. The snow pusher makes it so there is now hand work around buildings at all. I am in the process of trying to source one out. Thank you.

Just to nitpic, I'd prefer no music, and instead would rather hear the tractor. Really good quaility video work, just ditch the music. Others may have different opinions. Not sure if more prefer music or more prefer tractor sound. I prefer tractor sound 🙂
Hi Jeff, thank you for the comment and recommendation. I do enjoy listening to that powerful diesel tractor myself as well. We will try to include more real tractor sound and less music on our future tractor or related pto implements as we got several coming up this spring. We always appreciate such comments that help us improve our videos.
Great video! I have the same setup and love it(3025e w/ SB1164). After a year i broke down and added two rear remotes and converted the blower over to hydro chute deflector and rotation. It made a world of difference in the tight spaces where i have to move my snow. I also ended up putting a Curtis Cab on mine but that isnt for everyone.
A little thing i've learned over the years that makes the rear blower a little easier on long days: I move my seat up a little and turn sideways in the seat and run the pedal with my left foot. Alot easier on the neck. Keep up the videos!

Get a mirror (or even two) and mount them to the steel that protects the operator side of the front loader arm mounts. There are mounting packages available at some of the bigger online tractor guys, but you could also mount some unistrut or similar and mount the mirror to that at whatever height suits you. Still have to turn when you are in tight to stuff, but when driving long straights and gentle curves, you won't have to turn around.

Hello, you might want to think reviewing your comment on diesel tractors running out of fuel. Not all tractors need to have the fuel line bleeded after running out of fuel. One example of this is a smaller version of your John Deere, the 1025R version. The fuel system is AUTO priming. When you turn the ignition key to the glow plug position, the electric fuel pump is energized and primes the fuel line. Many other models and venders do the same. I just wanted to let you know so that your followers get the information.

Pull type blowers works really well unless you get 2+ plus drifts, I live the Rockies and have a MK Martin 68'' and a 86'' front blade.
Yes, the more I use this the more I wish I had a cab tractor with a pull type and a snow pusher box/blade.
I live in Northern New Brunswick 🇨🇦 and pay under $500 to do two long driveways. But did thought about buying my own tractor.
$500 is very reasonable. Here in Ontario they are charging 700 to 1000 per season for even a small subdivision driveway. One like ours is$2000. Also if you have other things that you can use the tractor for, it would be worth it. We use the tractor for everything on the property, would be lost without it.

I agree, that was our preferred option too but honestly we could just not afford it.

on modern diesel you cycle the keys a a couple time to cycle the lift pump to purge the lines and will refill them up with fuel.... these are not the the old mecanical diesel that you had to crack open a line to let the air out while cranking!!

@@timberstoneranch yeah I ran out once, lol. leave the key on a bit and it'll run the fuel through the filter in the front purging the air and then it'll start up pretty quick. Should be details on the exact procedure in the manual.

His tractor shouldn’t depreciate $11,000 in five years or $22,000 in 10 years. At worst he breaks even and has enjoyed the use of his own tractor…you, me and he all made the right choices.
Nice job on the video. I am looking at a rear snowblower like this, but was concerned I might not be able to as I have gravel roads on my property. The gravel roads freeze pretty solid and we get a lot of snow here so I’m wondering as long as I adjust the snowblower properly, it won’t pick up gravel. Does anyone know if these work very well on gravel roads?
We have gravel driveway as well and we manage just fine. There are some adjustable spacers at the bottom that can raise the cutting blade at the very bottom and not pick up gravel. I think this is a very good idea for another video. I will try to put something together and post it in the next week or so.

I think grading the driveway before winter and using the snowblower spacers at the bottom would help
I agree. If the temperature is right, I am out with the car packing the snow right away. This year I didn't even get the tractor out the first two times that it snowed. My neighbors wonder what I am doing but they peel rocks and mine is a good base most of the winter.@@patrickp9304

Do you use the blower in high or low gear? Additionally what gear oil do you use to lubricate the chain and gears?
Hi, I only use on low gear when driving as it gives me more steady control but I’m running the PTO RPM at 540. Also for gear oil, I am not sure, I just have the dealer service the equipment entirely every year so I don’t have to worry about it. I hope this helps.
