    Maestro DMX is an A.I. generator that takes your DJ music and syncs it up to your light show. Check out my video on the brand new release of this technology. I will give you first access to the behind the scenes of how it works and what you could expect if you purchased one.

      Working footage can be seen from maestro themselves. They didn’t show the back end side of how to patch and customize your light show. That was the real question for many kickstarter backers and others who purchased this after Maestros marketing campaign. Lights will run their cues, it’s the setup and execution part that people don’t take in consideration when buying a product. It’s not just a plug and play unit. Thanks for watching

    Mine is with me on Monday. I've used Soundswitch since it came out and love it.
    Hoping this fills in the gaps for me when I'm feeling lazy. Not plug n play ..... But looks at little easier to get into than SS is.🤔

    • @cduemig1
      @cduemig1 Před 8 měsíci

      Same. I should have purchased SS originally but didn’t have the cash. If this works well I’ll drop SS but might just buy the black Friday deal and keep SS. We’ll see next week when mine comes.

      @lightinginventory  Před 8 měsíci

      From the looks, I can see the promoting of “plug and play” but I do like that you can do more customization to the lights and show. I would say easier than SS just with my fiddling around with it, without Maestro’s videos on how to’s

    What do you need to do as far as the dmx fixture setup? Anything special or just a certain channel? Can you chain 10 par lights together and plug dmx cable in and break them up into primary and secondary?

      I unfortunately don’t. I was a kickstarter backer and that was like last year or maybe even two years ago now. But I know that was when they were developing and producing the product. I’m sure it’s probably a couple weeks to order to then get in hands

    It seems like you would still need do some fiddling with parameters if you want to change the look/colour scheme between songs. I currently use a LightShark LS-1 and this has the fantastic "executors" pages which I fill up with different looks for live music. It seems that Maestro could do with something similar to allow quick changes.

    • @lightinginventory
      @lightinginventory  Před 3 měsíci

      I agree with you. Still some fiddling around to do. That’s why I made this video in the first shipments that maestro dmx sent out (I was a kickstarter backer) and wanted people to know that it’s not all plug in play. There are still inputs and settings you still need to achieve

    So to be controlling the device my PC needs to be connected to that device own wlan? What about I need to be connected to wlan with internet connection (because of the the Tidal e.g.)? That's no can do.. With the other solution you're mentioning the external control panel makes more sense. Or if you don't control the maestro during the show, that's probably ok, but is that even possible.. Just wondering, not trying to be negative. :)

    • @lightinginventory
      @lightinginventory  Před 7 měsíci +2

      Totally get what your saying. So here is how I understand it… connect a computer to maestros network protocol which will then get you to the BTS look to allow you to patch fixtures, decide how you want to run your lights and then you can reconnect to your internet/hotspot to run Tidal. Pretty much getting on their own network allows you to patch everything and set things up for your light show, so the program knows what fixtures are there and how many. I haven’t tried this yet but I’ve thought about having my iPad connected to maestros network to have some extra controls just in case. Mind you I’m coming from a background that I usually have some type of hardware controller near by to control my lights. Thanks for the watch!

    I bought this because I have no knowledge of DMX. I just wanted an AI plug and play device to control my lights. I guess I will have to return it since I have no time to figure out all of the software parameters.

    hmmm... wish to have seen more detail how to input or add fixtures and create a few scenes or programs, but at least we can get t see how the layout of windows are set up. not bad, I like how they set buttons for fog, strobe, blind. but as I say I would love to see a more in deep how to set up 4 or 8 fixtures and have the AI run them to the beat of a populat song...

      A great channel is stage lighting, David does a good job showing how it all works or the Maestro DMX channel will probably have some videos on how to do it. I wanted to showcase the platform and how it’s not all about plug and play.

    This isn’t AI, AI would plug in recognise all your fixtures or of unknown would work out the dmx parameters. Then it would just be a case of maybe 3 buttons like calm, middle and full on. Even that wouldn’t be needed with Ai as it would detect from the song. This isn’t much different from lightrider.
    I’ve been chipping in to their kickstarter. Within 18 months someone will have produced an iPhone app with simple dmx interface that will be AI

      Maestro has plenty of videos of them showing the lights going with the box. My intent was to show what the back end side of the program was and show that it’s not a true plug in play system and it gives you the ability to patch and customize some parameters of the program. Thanks for the watch.

    If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s only those that back the kickstarter have gotten their devices and are the only ones posting anything on CZcams about them. We need UNBIASED reviews. This does not qualify. Until I’m sold with an unbiased review, I’ll stick with the trusty ADJ Wolfmix WMX1.

    • @lightinginventory
      @lightinginventory  Před 6 měsíci +1

      @Sticksentertainment- Sorry you feel that way. Back story- Yes I am a kickstarter backer but was not compensated to make or say anything about this product. I made this to show end users what you are looking at getting into. Not every tool out there needs to be purchased but some more than others help make the job easier used in the right show. The reason you are seeing ONLY backers posting is because Maestro did one initial run of production and then did a presale once it was officially hitting the market. "Us" backers waited awhile for this to get developed. While I own a Maestro DMX box, I also have the wolf mix, ILS command, Showxpress, Chamsys MQ70 & an Onyx NX4 console, each tool for different applications. The purpose of my video was to show the backend side of how this program works because I felt the company didn't show a lot of information about this. Thanks for watching!
