So many comments by very uneducated people.
If you are operating a vehicle on public roads, the minimum you must have is License, Registration, and Insurance. The only thing the law cares about is license and registration, unless there's an accident.
If for any reason a police officer asks you for license and registration you must provide it, as you are operating a vehicle on public roads. There is no exception to this, even if you didn't do anything.
If you are operating a vehicle you cannot say no to providing the paperwork. If you say no, then they have reasonable suspicion to believe you are illegally operating the vehicle which is illegal. This is not the same as admission of guilt.
Admission of guilt is when you commit a crime, we'll say speeding. You can deny that you were speeding until they present evidence of you speeding. You do not have to say yes i was.
Now if you are walking and a cop asks you for ID, you do not have to provide it, as you haven't done anything wrong and they had no reason to know who you are. But when a cop asks you for it when you are driving, that is not the same thing, and you must provide it even if you have not done anything wrong because driving a vehicle is not a right, and you must provide documentation that you are legally allowed to operate that vehicle. Everyone at any point is subject to a cop asking them for license and registration, because it is a requirement. The only reason they don't do it, is because there's usually more serious matters at hand.
Now a cop cannot pull you over without reasonable suspicion, but if it just so happens that you arrive at a scene such as this and they ask for it you must provide it, as you have inserted yourself into a situation where the cop is within his right to ask for it because it's very suspicious to be at the scene. Now if you say no, you are now subject to a legal search because they think you are illegally operating a vehicle.
Some of ya'll really need to get passed your basic understandings of things you don't understand.
Well said brother

Then he could detain you, then either have to let you go or get another cop. You dont have to give him your info unless you actually did something.

THEY’RE stuck dealing with degenerates who want to argue about every little thing and make their lives miserable bc they saw some other guy do it on the internet!
If you dont want to exercise your rights, sure give it over.
Unfortunately that's the way it goes when interfering with a traffic stop.
Interference is a physical act.
@@mandorivera6990 interfering, by definition, is not just a physical act.
Look up the law.
@@mandorivera6990 the very definition of the word, is what's being argued here. Since you're so adamant that you're right, why dont you link a source? If what you say is true, I'll concede
@@HellWrex multiple courts have deemed interference to be a physical act he only offered to take the bike for the guy he never touch anything or anyone so please tell me exactly how he is interfering in this traffic stop. By ur logic anyone walking by with a comment during a traffic stop is interfering.
Bro thought he could get a date from that one
"Have a seat, too." Your response should have been "Am I being detained, and if so, why? " Protect yourselves out there. Road pirates are rampant.
nah why tf bro give up so easily😂 *sits down* *pulls out license *
Cause it's not that deep and he has nothing to hide and no reason to complicate anything 🤯
@@colevenus849 seems like someone loves to have their rights violated lmao

@@mandorivera6990he also illegally parked his bike on the side of a main thoroughfare, easy legal detainment. Cops loves CZcams lawyers like you, makes their job easy 😂.
@@-N-O-P-E- ok still doesn’t make him apart of the original traffic stop the cop only can really question why he stopped and it was to offer assistance of removing ur friends bike from the free way I’ve had to pick up friends cars from the side of the highway for them so come again?? And nothing like this has ever happened This is just a cop on a power trip nothing else. Now if he was breaking the law with his buddy then sure cop has every right but that isn’t what is shown. I don’t lick the boot like most of yall do tho.
So Cal Motor Deputy here: Don’t walk up on me at a traffic stop. Putting the dude on the curb is an interesting choice, I’d rather just tell him to kick rocks. They’re obviously buddies; who knows if he’s posting the t-stop live to have his buddies come bail him out or attack the officer
Yall gotta stop letting these cops do this bs.
You don’t have to give your license to an officer if you haven’t committed a crime or infraction. Don’t give them their crack, make them go through withdrawals
I hate when cops say "take a seat" indicating a sidewalk. Hell no I won't take a seat on the ground.
THE FOOTAGE WAS TRIMMED TO LACK CONTEXT. IN THE FULL VIDEO THE COP WAS CHILL
This is what happens when you interfere in a traffic stop. There is many reasons cops do this but number one reason is his safety as well as the other persons safety.
Dude said “okie” 😳😰
Officer training, everything the general public ask you say "nope"
