@CharleZ06 no vette has came with run flats from the factory. Some department SOP's do not allow shooting of the tires and are strict on the discharge of a service weapon. But in reality i think these officers are just incompetent.
All new cars since 2020 have laminated front side window glass. It's a federal mandate. The days of tempered glass front side windows is over. Even in 2017 1 in 3 new cars already had laminated side glass. It was mandated to keep people in the vehicle during crashes and rollovers. That said I believe the C7 was still tempered glass.
I believe this is what Community Policing is all about; helping the Corvette out of the traffic jam. This is the kind of policing I can get behind (much like the SUV cop helping push the Corvette out of the way)
