I bought this exact model over 3 months ago, I went with the manual 6 speed as not really fussed with an auto. I mainly use it for commuting to the city down the Bruce highway. I've already done 10,000km and it's a perfect all round car. I'm getting 6.3l per 100k, no hassles yet and it has everything that I need. Also as I'm 188cm tall, I was worried about the space and driving position but no it's great and comfortable to drive. I would highly recommend people to get one.
Have the sport in auto. 18000k so far without one issue. No squeaks or rattles, feels solid when you close a door. Service was $285 with free map upgrade and racv for another year and loan car. Service completed in the required time. Cannot fault the experience with the car or the dealership.
I've driven one and was surprised at how peppy the engine was. If I wasn't in the market for a serious hot hatch, this would have been the car I opted for.
This car is fucking brilliant I've driven it for two weeks and love the handling and quietness. The sync 3 sat nav is brililant as well easy to use touchscreen or with voice control and giving speed camera warnings also. I bought the Trend which has 16 inch alloys which gives the car a smoother ride over the sport either way don't waste your time with anything else-this is a great value for money vehicle that is also very economical with 132kw turbo driven engine.
By the way, I have the LZ Focus Sport and I love it! If you test drive a Toyota Corolla SX/ZR (which seem to be the equivalent) and end up buying it over this, then there is something seriously wrong. Reliability wise, I owned an LS Focus for 10 years and it was reliable with only the normal things needing replacing. Build quality was questionable back then, but not in my new one, it feels rock solid. Don't let the Japanese fanbois sway you from looking at this car, it is truly awesome! In regards to the switch to a 'torque converter' gearbox, this also means and end to the reliability troubles of the 'Dual Clutch' gearbox (which other manufacturers have also had trouble with).
what the difference between this 2016 model and the 2017 Sports LZ model? They are pretty much identical inside and out except that the 2017 model uses the syc 3 system. Did the 2017 model come out in late 2016?
You mention Free loan cars, well in Canada it is a different story a coworker had major issues with her Focus. The Transmission needed serious repair, it took 2 months and they had to pay for the rental, Ford only paid for a couple of weeks. Then The My Ford System died. They had to bring it back to the dealership and this took another 6 weeks to repair, this time Maria had to pay 100% of the rental. Reliability is job None ! Once they got the car back they sold it and bought a Subaru. They love the car and will never buy another Ford again.
This car will have horrible sales after all the previous ford lemon fuckdus, just pull the car and bandage a Mazda. I'm an owner of a 2012 Focus and will never buy another lemon again. ---- HOW CAN YOU TRUST FORD WITH ALL THE ACCC PROBLEMS ---
dont buy ford focus.. I own 2012 focus and it it nightmare... the transmission is shit as hell.. car vibrates whenver start off. back seats are too small.. resale value is shit... get civic, corolla, mazda3, jettta, elantra, etc... dont buy 1. dodge dart 2. ford focus 3. mitsubishi lancer. I am done with this garbage shit. I am going to get Subaru Brz or Nissan Maxima or Honda Accord.
+Draxler Munoz This is a Mazda 3 competitor. I had the Mazda 3 and the Focus Trend in my top 2, ended up choosing the Trend...I found that 1.5L Turbo much better than the Mazda's 2L. The Focus Sport and the SP25 is a different story though of course.
@@conorjackson5360 there is absolutely nothing wrong with these interiors, the fact you're comparing a Jazz shows cars are not something you know anything about. Hopefully since you posted that comment you have had your vision corrected.
German car. If it's older than 5 years or has 100k+ km on the odometer, don't walk away from it, run. They say that the most expensive car you can possibly buy is a used German car for a reason. Not to mention if you buy this brand new this thing would depreciate faster than a Jungle Green HSV Maloo ute.

Great feedback! Thanks for watching.
How is insurance and servicing pricing?

Gear box better then the last gen I've had the clutches replaced twice already
We just purchased a brand new 2017 Focus Sport Auto in White. Gets delivered in a week. Cannot wait!
Great review guys
Slight correction. Climate control is only standard on the Sport, Titanium, ST and RS. The Trend has manual control air conditioning.
Great pickup - you are correct. We noted this just after the video went live! Oops.
could you do a review on the 2016 Holden Captiva 7 ltz turbo diesel ??

Damn aussie market not buying the cars that they should be buying.
The pre-facelift version had a bad reputation here! Many issues with the auto transmission
True, but they fixed it. Pretty sure Ford sent letters regarding the Transmission and could get it replaced for free.
why 'should' Aussies be buying these? what are you talking about?

+MIke White Explains my point.
Nice review! I am driving a 2013 Focus S and it's great. So much so that I'm thinking of getting an ST or RS in the next 3 or 4 years👍
It's been 4 years, are u still driving the 2013 Focus?
I guess we will never know
This is my new favourite car.
Which is the paint type of this car?
+ΜΙΧΑΛΗΣ ΠΑΠΑΠΟΡΦΥΡΙΟΥ - Winning Blue Metallic.

Lol stop yagging nonsense bs this model of the ford focus is reliable as heck tranny is conventional I haven't seen much issues with the engine
interior looks awful... would take a mazda2 or jazz over this

+Draxler Munoz A Jazz o_O ... my Nana drives a Jazz.
Amsterlager this interior is just dog piss sorry, the jazz' interior is definitely better but the focus' exterior is obviously better

I would never buy a ford, especially these ones. They always come with some sort of bugs.
Had mine 3 years no bugs.... Great cars to drive no worse than a golf in fact handling is better imo
and the volkswagen for example isn't? Reputation precedes the quality of volkswagens. a lot of trouble for aussie drivers
no bugs fly in my one

Tell me a brand that comes with no bugs.
