6:30 The commentators "that appears to me like that should be a good goal" 😂😂😂
Like super offsides come on lmao
@@Alfzilla8 No it wasn't. It wasn't even CLOSE to offsides. That was a bad call. You can enter the zone before the puck if you have control. And, if you have it long enough to make a pass, you have control. Terrible call. That was a good goal. Fact. That was just bad reffing.
@@darthollpheist1156shit he did have possession. I always forget they do that with offsides, but I swear that’s a newer addition to the rule. Been playing since I was 7. I guess I shouldn’t ref 😂 good point
@@darthollpheist1156When Spurgeon passed the puck, he was in the zone while the puck had not fully crossed the blue line. Therefore he lost possession of the puck and was offside.
@@ryandgav1361 100% spot on. Hear me out though...make the blue line part of the offensive zone, both entering and exiting the zone. It makes no sense that if my team gains entry I can pass back to my D and he can skate the puck directly along the blue line and we're still onsides, yet when entering I can't approach the zone and skate along the blue and let my guys enter.I need to get the puck totally across otherwise they're offside. If the blue line became mutual onside all the goals you see waived off on the weekly become good goals. Spurgeons offside in the video becomes a good goal as long as his pass releases of his blade in blue paint. The defending team still clears to the same point, just beyond blue paint. I don't see the drawback to this change..
Rust ended uo scoring a few seconds later lmao
The thumbnail for this video is the goal he scored after lol
Puck don’t lie lol
Ya I was there it was pretty depressing
Yeah. I remember that. That was classic.
I think op knows. The thumbnail was the goal he scored right after hahah
As a flyers fan I’m not the biggest Patrick Kane fan, but that was a goal, he was robbed of that.
Kane’s goal needs revision
Yeah, always tryst the hometown announcers, they are most trustworthy. The horn sounds just as the sound of stick on puck occurs. NO GOAL!
For somw reason this was my first time seeing that goal… absolutely insane shot
Song playing in the background of that last clip (Fla/Car), "I still haven't found what I'm looking for"... that's hilarious.
Can't go wrong with some U2 music.
would love to see how the game ended aswell but this is still great
True
Last one ends up with 3 more overtime periods, the rest im not sure
idk out the others but the penguins clip at the beginning rust (17) went and scored again for the winner
1. Rust scores OT winner, Penguins win
2. Blackhawks win in the SO
3. Iafallo scores OT winner, Kings win
4. Flames win in the SO
5. BLues win in the SO
6. Tkachuk scores winner in 4OT, Panthers win
yea, not having the results makes this video such a nothing burger.
Patty kanes bomb was definitely a goal
It wasnt tho... wish it was but it wasnt
Add the last 5-10 seconds of the team scoring at the end of each sequence !
Thanks, Jens. Enjoyable video.
Thanks for watching 😊
i was at the knights vs hawks game that kane shot was 100% a goal😭
these are always brutal
That was a crazy goal for Rust🤯
JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE STEPS IN THE CREASE DOESN'T ALWAYS MEAN IT'S GOALTENDER INTERFERENCE
Girl where you been, you can’t just leave us hanging for days at a time down the stretch 😂
I'm sorry!! I'll do better 💕
as long as you yourself do good in the meantime!@@Jens95
9:07 I sat through a quad overtime for the scenario to not change.
And sense we got the no goal in the Fla/Car series we got an extra 3 hours of hockey :) (request could you you favorite moment for all nhl teams)
Yea Little did the fans know how much longer that game was gonna go on lol
Announcers saying it looks good on the wild vs flames goal is crazy
Kanes goal should count
6:34 you gotta love NHL announcers who don’t know what offsides is…clear as day lol
Its changed , now its possesion not just the skate.
You can enter the zone backward with the puck and its not offside. Since you have ‘’possesion’’.. not a fan of this but part of the rule now
@@IconZQcit was offside because he passed the puck before it entered the zone so they counted it as a loss of possession
@@Ice-Lopz true! I didnt notice at first but you right
6:30 if you look before he got position of the puck his two feet were in the zone before he got position of the puck that was a good call.
Just made me realize, it’s been almost 25 years since the infamous 1999 cup winning goal by Hull. Going by the rule about the goalie area back then, the goal should have been waved off…
you should have finished the rust OT goal with him actually scoring to win the game
Why was 3:08 waved off?
Edit: Minnesota wasn’t offside
3:08? That's not Minnesota
3:08 was time expired before the puck entered the net.
Re: Minnesota (5:17), I thought so too at first, but then I saw the replay at 6:24, and Spurgeon goes over the line without touching the puck (6:30). A bit of a chinsy call, I'll admit, but by the rulebook, it's the right call. The problem is with the word "possession". What it means is entirely up to interpretation, so calls like these are made sometimes.
@@Leafsdude_ Every single rule is written in a way so they can call it either way, depending on what the outcome of the game is to be
Looks like he passed the puck before it crossed the blue line, therefore he no longer had possession meaning he was inside the zone before the puck without possession
The Wild one should've counted. That was not offsides at all. He definitely had possession of the puck before he entered the zone completely.
Are we not going to talk about the most obvious snub from this list? The Gélinas no goal in 2004?
You should do a "too many men penalties" video, canucks just took there 10th of the season lol
in the next one, can you tell which team won the game? if the team that got the goal waved off still won or the other team won
patty kanes was a good goal
The refs these days are blind and assumed time expired
How in anyway was the Minnesota-Calgary one offside? There’s literally no shot that’s offside
I think you are thinking Soccer. In hockey once you enter offside any shots past that are now offside and do not count until the puck has left the zone.
@@Matthew6418 I know how offsides in hockey works. I’m saying that it was a terrible call cuz the puck carrier entered the zone first. Its not offside
@@jackvanzeeland2368 Its a tricky one but the call was correct. The puck carrier did NOT have control of the puck when he entered the zone. the puck had not reached the line when he entered. Had he had control there would be no offside but since he did not he entered before the puck hit the line which makes it offsides.
@@Matthew6418 what do we consider possession? Touching the stick?
@@jackvanzeeland2368 he tapped the puck once but moved his stick back to make the pass, the move back to reorient his stick caused The Big Room to assume he didnt have control and thus he crossed the line without *having* possession.
Kanes goal counts
This video is okay.... but you REALLY did yourself a disservice by not including the outcome of these games. I mean, that's the most important part. Okay... the goal was waved off.... did it ultimately have an outcome on the game or not? HUGE oversight. If I were you, I would take this down and remake it. Just saying. Just one man's correct opinion. LOL.
hater fr
Never see the goals get taken off lol😊
any excuse to help Bettman's golden child team
in my non expert opinion I could argue half of these being good goals 🤣
i will forever be salty about that kane goal
The refs were bailing out the canes that whole game, there was no goaltender interference! 🤓
As a kings fan you better watch out when it comes to no goals
👍
At least Rust got the winner after all
Jared Spurgeon's goal was definitely good. The puck does not need to be the first thing across the line IF you are carrying it AND have possession. You can skate backwards into the zone carrying the puck and it's not offsides. They blew that one big time! REF: NHL Rule 83.1
He passes the puck before the puck crosses the line meaning he didn’t have possession because the puck was mid pass before it crosses the blue line. If he carries the puck across the line after him it’s not offside but he clearly passes it while he is in the zone and the puck isn’t
Hi
Are there any Anglophone referees in the NHL? lol
“Is this Cale Makar-ish?”
*Let it go*
I mean they’re right. Makar did the exact same thing in that playoff series if that happened to the jets I’d be that mad too
Edmonton vs blues a good call, if you really think he has possession there you’re just brain dead he 1000000000% lost the puck at first LMAO
yes, because connor mcdavid is definitely the player who is likely to lose control like that
@@halt1931 happens to everyone at some point lmao. But since you watched the video and still have that opinion im just gonna go with you never really played much yourself.
@@XANGETSTRICKY I'm not saying it doesn't happen to everyone at some point, but given the fact that he is the literal best current player in the world, if there was a single person on the planet who I would extend the benefit of the doubt to, it's him
I’m a jets fan, no dog but no way you call that offside after allowing that playoff Makar goal 😂
again if you think mcdavid had possession of the puck than you need to look up the definition of possession in hockey as well as go play hockey yourself for way fucking longer and then come back and talk all retarded if you want. @@curtism9702
