Ride to work - 2024/05/14

I've commuted to work on my motorcycles more times in the last 6 weeks than I have in the past 30 years so I thought I'd celebrate with a video. My current 'proper' commute is 9 1/2 miles and takes 15 minutes. I've been known to take some 'improper' commutes to Lake City, so far the longest is 52 miles. My 30 year average 'proper' commute to the Twin Cities probably averaged 65 miles and an hour and a half (could go longer)....there were never any 'improper' commutes.

As always, more of this on my blog for which little has been happening the last while. My 7 day work weeks are over and with summer coming on, my 5 day workweeks are about over, at least for a few months. I'm counting on my blog Posts and you should too.

That seemed a fine, leisurely ride to work on the Vstar. And thank you for my first look inside a school bus since I was in high school. They look different now...

As all the machines come out of their winter slumber they're visiting the bus barn. The busses are Very different from when I drove them back in the late 70's. Definitely more electronics....alert systems, audio/visual monitoring...kids are different too. Looking forward to my summer off AND getting back to pick up the kiddos next September.
