Enjoy a casual afternoon cruise through downtown, across some bridges, and puctuated with a beverage to cool down on this very smokey, but beautiful day.
The VTX1300 has a V-Twin engine with a single pin 270 degree crankshaft that gives it a similar sound to a Harley Davidson.

@@greenbean5186 No, it wasn't my fault. A car trying to turn from a place where U-turns are prohibited passed over me.
Sad to hear. Even I got in an accident 6 months back when an old guy on a scooter tried to take a u-turn on a highway without indication and I rear ended him. He neither had a rear view mirror nor a helmet. Still nothing happened to him. But I on the other hand got multiple fractures on the left leg. My speed wasn't even 60kmph (I live in India so kmph is the unit) but my bike fell on my leg thus crushing it. I ride a 300cc so didn't realize the importance of wearing gears and it fet awful to be a 19 year old bedridden boy. I believe all these accidents give us some learnings. I too am out of action since almost half an year. Though I am well now and about to start riding again. Hope you are doing great too. Take care.

The Honda VTX 1800 is frankly one of my favorite bikes ever. I’m not a cruiser person as I normally ride retro scramblers, but there’s something special about the VTX honestly.

Although I've ridden only Harleys for the past 40yrs and the two I currently own are 25 and 50yrs old, I've always appreciated all motorcycles regardless of maker.
These bikes are nice, and they manage to keep their character intact while Harley has thrown theirs away.

Seems to me that Honda's VTX has it all, style, sound, and super reliability! I'm on my third Harley, a 97 Heritage, after an 89 Electraglide, and a 77 Lowrider, and have owned several Hondas, Kawasakis etc, and Honda reliability has them all beat, hands down!

I've got a '97 WideGlide and I love it.
I think most of us started on metric bikes but some of us just like to forget where we came from.
I appreciate all makes of machines, and if I had the room, I'd still have a bunch.
I also respect most riders who aren't idiots, because if they have the balls to get out on those roads on 2 wheels today, they've earned it.

Edmonton rider here. this was absolutely wonderful to watch on a day when I am itching to get out there, but it’s not quite the season yet. What a beautiful city we live in. this bike is the reason I sold my 750 Shadow. The only bad thing about this VTX, is that you know it's built 100 times better than a Harley of the day. This video reminds of the good days when I had my bike. I'm a bit hesitant to ride again because there's been one too many fatalities in my city the last two years, being run over by cars. but I therapy wise and balance-wise my health got better and mental health got better owning and riding a bike. I did 10,000 clicks locally one summer just riding my bike for everyday things. I think this video is gonna encourage me to get a VTX and get back on track again.

I have an '05 1300C VTX with the Cobra Dragster exhaust and I love all of the sounds it makes. It sounds similar to the V&H pipes. Good video.

I had a VTX 1300 for about 4 years and only sold it since I moved out of the country. What a beautiful ride it was. My singular complaint was it didn't stop very fast so I always had to be extra vigilant when in areas where lots of animals or people were.

Any v twin sounds good with pipes. After a hard week at work I am not walking out to the garage excited to ride my VTX or Kawasaki vulcan. HD are timeless. I have owned metric cruisers but going into my garage and seeing my BMW k1300s and Ultra classic keeps me in love with riding

Honda makes the best imitation Harley cruisers. Their motors and clutches are buttery smooth and ultra reliable, look and sound amazing for half of a scandalously priced Harley. I own a 2000 Honda Sabre 1100 with Cobra pipes and it sounds very similar to this bike. These bikes will put on 30k miles easy and will still sound and ride like new ✌🏽🇺🇲

I had a 2001 VTX 1800 Retro. Very powerful bike. If you got 2nd gear just right while accelerating it felt like your arms were being pulled out of the sockets. I also owned a Yamaha 1900 Roadliner, a 2014 Honda Valkyrie and a bunch of Harleys. The VTX pulled the hardest.

i drove a Yamaha XV1900 before, 100% dreambike, unfortunately in germany we have no chance to have a nice exhaust like you do in the states... awesome video m8, be safe
There are Euro3+ compliant exhausts for new enough bikes like the Stratoliner you drove. Miller makes one. Granted they are expensive but that is because they contain a catalytic converter like the stock mufflers in most cruisers do. The sound may not be as loud as V&H but they should be a huge improvement in tone compared to a neutered stock exhaust. And if you get a need for louder sound, the db killer baffle is removable. Sure it won't be Euro3 compliant anymore then but unless you are a hooligan then I doubt you'd get in trouble. And it still should not be overly loud because the catalytic converter also dampens the sound. Unless the authorities have a bad day then they usually have some leeway for louder exhausts as long as you behave but the catalytic converter is a must, for obvious reasons. If the slip-on removes it (and most do) then it is super duper illegal.
