You can pierce it with a toothpick. That's how people germinate the seed to grow their own avocados, pierce it with a few toothpicks, place it in a glass filled with water so only the bottom of the seed touches the water. Wait for it to sprout.
It's not that hard, just slippery - cutting through it is easy when still in the fruit.

I’ve had ink on my fish and chips before too, and I live in the states. It’s a global problem apparently. This one place I go to insists on lining their to-go packages with red-and-white checkered paper, like the classic pattern they use on picnic blankets in cartoons. But of course, the hot oil and moisture make the ink rub off onto the food. I try to avoid the chips with red squares imprinted on them, but pink-flesh-fish is where I draw the line
