I’m picking up some one-length Avodas later this year! Can’t wait
One Length rule. Why would any amateur believe they would be more consistent with 8 different lengths and body positions, than one!!!?
Exactly! Soon as I switched I’ve dropped 6-8 strokes as a weekend golfer
So true. I was lucky to have only a few months of incremental length irons where after I switched to single length. I will never look back. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
I play one length. Cobra ltdx irons . I have only been playing 1.5 years.
Learning to swing was pretty quick for me. Once you get your P wedge down you also have your 9,8,7,6,5,4.
My first rounds were 120-130 when I first learned to golf.
Within one year I was shooting 90s and even broke 90 4 times with my best score being 86.
These irons accelerated my learning curve and got me to more consistent faster.
As a weekend warrior player I’m super happy with shooting low 90s and love the ease of one length irons
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this. I’m coming in later this year to get fit into new one length irons. I’ve always played them and it’s hard to find a good fitter that knows how to fit them. See you later this year!
I love the one length irons. Make sure you find the over all weight that works for you if you want to try them! Good video but kind of hard to relate to 100mph club speed lol
Lol capt ballspeed was opposed from the beginning 😂 I highly doubt he was playing a proper X-flex iron shaft. Dude just needs a proper fitting to get his peak height’s correct and then one-length irons would be totally fine for him
Maybe someone can explain why irons are usually all different lengths...other than that's how they've always been.
Center of gravity and length of clubs are all engineered to help golfers achieve proper launch and height. The different lengths of the clubs help the golfer hit the proper yardages in healthy launch conditions.
I have been playing Pinhawk one length irons for a few years.... Now variable length feels very odd.
Interesting!
Played variable length for 10 years.
Took time off golf when my kids were born. When I started playing again I went to one length. I can play variable length long irons but can’t play standard length short irons and wedges.
I like what Bryson is playing this weekend, where they are traditional out to 7i and then retain 7i length in the longer irons. Seems to be a “best of both” situation
Yeah this is the optimal setup for me, one length from 7-3iron, standard 8-wedge.
His Lob-8i are all exactly 7 iron length. They are the same one-length
Amazing how you can get 200+ with a 7 iron and I can only hit mine 145 yards 😮
155 on good day
If I’m 6’4” and my current set is 1” longer. Would a one length set be standard 7 iron length? I’m struggling to work out if and why I’d need an extra inch - the Cobra standard 7 iron is about the same length as my 8 iron which is very appealing.
I am 6 5 and have a f max one length senior flex no extra length added. Your best choice would be to go to dicks, club champion or golf galaxy and get fitted,
@@oceanis2818 Thanks for the reply. In the end I went to a local golf and spoke to the pro there. Got fitted in his indoor studio and opted for some P790’s (0.5” long and 1* upright). Very happy with them.
@@CHuzz7777 Nice! Being 6’2” I’m probably going to go +0.5” in some Avodas later this year for a one length set at 37.5”
I was thinking about a two length set. Lob wedge to 8 iron at the length of a PW. The 7 iron to 4 iron to the length of a 7 iron.
Reasoning would be to bring the spin in the wedges down a bit.
I keep one traditonally short 56* wedge in my bag but I hit the King F7 One lengths to try the concept for myself and love them. Shaved 13 strokes off my handicap and now shooting 86-92 regularly. Feels weird at first with the 9, PW, and Gap wedges but trust the club and it simply works great. I just ordered the Forged Tec One lengths to continue down this road.
@@Natedoc808 a mate of mine as has shop. He has a trade in set, will probably try those this summer for fun. Good to know it works. Also just got a nicely fitted set of PING iron, so probably stick with those over time.
The clubs in the video, what are those? Is it just an existing one length set or is it a custom created set?
Might have missed it in the video
They are the Cobra dark speed one length irons
@@windmillgolfcenter Lovely!
