the kidnappers told her that if she tried to escape, they'd kill her family

  • @bishdizzle67

I can't believe some of the moronic comments on here about how she enjoyed her abduction and she could have escaped easily. Calling her a moron is moronic at best. She is an example of someone who went through unspeakable things and because of a wonderful family and her own character, has grown into an intelligent and productive member of society.

Wow soo many people on here making stupid comments. You don't KNOW what you would do until your put into a situation like this so shut the heck up.

She was never in a house & she was never left alone until one day in Feb. 2003. Instead of listening to Chappelle try reading about the case.

I think Elizabeth's parents sheltered her too much. When I was 14, I was working and taking care of myself. I have such a hard time believing that this girl couldn't have escaped if she wanted to, given her opportunities to do so. Strange.

mackay10 look when you get kidnapped, raped, starved, abused and Threatened with your life and your family’s life then you can write these type of comments but guess what you have no fucking idea of what she had been through those 9 months being a 14-15 year old girl taken from her home at 2 am by knifepoint I mean please no one is that stupid

Yo Mackay!.. You know what else is Strange, It's beyond me on how those hound dogs didn't immediately pick up on Wanda's foul stench 😕 Would've led them right to the camp!..But noooooooooo douchebag Mitchell summonsed Wanda to be cleansed / baptized fresh that morning for the ludacris, demented imaginary marital ceremony 🙄

Stop being rude!!!! She was being threatened the whole time she was there!!!! She couldn't have just ran away, they would have caught her and done who knows what!!!!!! She had to plan her escape!!! So unless you're being nice then be quiet and leave her alone, quit bashing her!!!!!! She's a strong woman!!!

there are lots of contradictory facts about this case, first of all an innocent man - Richard Ricci - was imprisoned charged with Elizabeth's kidnapping and died in jail three months later, he was arrested for a description given by Elizabeth's sister, Mary who later on "remembered" the real face of the kidnapper - Brian David Mitchell - and so told her parents...continue...

Anna Guerra back in 2002 people was different, she was shy, and in fact really little, she was next to her sister who probably was terrified, she did everything she could to kept herself and sister alive, plus IT WAS THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND HE HAD A KNIFE so shut the fuck up

If she was scared, she would've started to think ways to get out of there so she would feel safer..... They left her alone in the house.... I don't think she would've been scared while no one was at home monitoring her....
What would you do if you were left alone (after being kidnapped of course) in a house without anyone monitoring you? If it were me I would be gone the minute they looked away (Parkour FTW).

You do sound cold. She was barely a teen with her baby sister beside and him holding a knife to her saying he'll her family if she screams.Rather or not you had a job at 14 is not the point. You don't what you would done unless it was you.And it wasn't you.You act like she wasn't a victim because she wasn't that young. You being a girl should make you a little smarter. But i guess not.

  • @Hommosimp

  • @rickyscan
    @rickyscan Před 11 lety +1

in fact she had more than one chance to ask for help when she was in public places. Elizabeth, Mitchell, and Barzee - the "kidnappers" - were stopped by police after complaints about the trio at a restaurant. Elizabeth said nothing to the officers about who she was. Elizabeth was found in the spring of 2003 on the streets of Sandy Utah, walking with Mitchell and Barzee: see full story at ordinaryevil dot wordpress dot c...

You need help. You can get grown adults to do what you want them to do under the right psychological or physical pressure...Getting a petite 14 year old to do what you want is a piece of cake for crazies and psychopaths. Read a good psychology book idiot. I have noticed that a lot of people put down this girl because she's Mormon and pretty and has gone on to a wonderful life. But this is really low to say a 14 year old somehow liked the situation she found herself in.

  • @anisaantoinette6381

I'm not blaming her for being held for so long, but in reality if she really wanted to, she could have escaped a LONG time before she did. She was in public places multiple times (the library, Wal-Mart) and could have called out for help or ran. There's a store full of people around you, what could he have done? Kill them all? Also consider the fact that she's young and able while he's older, she could most likely get away. I understand the psychological impact believe me I do, and I wasn't in that situation but if it were me for sure I know I would have fought just a little bit harder.

the mental stress on her was most likely excruciating. the psychological impact on rape and captivity is so much harder to overcome than any physical scar.
