I know the round design isnt everyone's thing, but for me I love the aesthetic so much, incredible job guys! 🤩 So excited to try these out in a couple months! 😁
we are just as excited to get them in your hands!
As a round glasses wearer myself, I'm relieved there's now an option that fits my style!
Will you consider making a more rectangle style in the future?@@brilliantlabsAR
Just preordered my pair of frames, and already having a lot of ideas for applications and use cases, just wanted to thank you guys for developing these as a so heavily opensource product! Can't wait to put my hands on these in a month or less🔥
Hi I preordered.i am curious of battery change or repair if needed. And hope to add the front glasses a little sunscreen protected color.
For my master in UX we chose the AR glasses to work on for translate and other stuff for this semester and 2 weeks later you guys did this 😂 amazing work hope it goes well looking forward to see it in real life ❤❤❤ good luck and keep inspiring students like me ❤
Looks amazing! From a round glasses wearer… I love these! I could turn so many people onto these! I hope to get a pair someday!
I bought Google Glass from day one because I didn't need to be coder and they included some basic apps with the Glasses and then developed a really good apps store for devs. I hope you're going to do the same to encourage non-coders like me to get them. I understand the Noah app includes a fair bit already but some sort of app store would be really good.

Hello, I am in school to be a radiologist technologist and hope this helps me study and stay focused. I have autism, and wonder if it could help me with social situations as well. Being used at a college level. I already bought my pair and can't wait for shipping in Dallas Texas!
Looking forward to having a pair of Frame to see through, test, try, and review...
It would also be great to make the batteries swappable. While 2 are in use, the other 2 are charging.
Does this have a speaker or can it be connected to headphones to hear the responses of the AI assistant?
Good question
Other than the R1, these are what I’m most excited about… I will buy them to test them, I might wear them at home, but I’m not wearing them in public 😂
ahha but they actually look quite good
I just pre-ordered them :-) Can't wait to try them out!
Hope you enjoy!
Fantastic so excited for this product! I love that it’s open source. Is there or will there bear SDK or repo to allow developers to build apps for these? What do you think of adding electrochromic glass to these?
Thanks for the video. CC scrolling during conversations. Facial recognition for people to help them recognize relatives, friends, business associates. Functions for item recognition (Google lens in overdrive). My favorite: Conversation monitoring to provide potentially relevant points scrolling along bottom. You start talking about Star Wars and a specific movie... the display shows cast members as a starting point then moves with the flow of the conversation to add other points....without trying to look up the info on a phone. Highly dependent on the interface. Brilliant normal style glasses where you could look at your conversational party without a lot of distraction and lots of control over how things are displayed to you. Expand the functions of today's cell phones. The future is near.
What i am looking for is a smart glass that lets me read books written in other languages. Something that simultaneously translate texts like google translate but in glasses form. Waiting for the first reviews of this Frame by Brilliant Labs.
please make a physical cover for the camera.
I just would love a pair of glasses I could just project chord sheets on.
It can be helpful for my study if I have any doubt related to my text questions so these glasses can figure out easily or not?
Noticed only a display in the right lens? Just curious on why not both? Was battery life a concern? Does the display extend to both sides?
The main concern is field of view, it’s not large enough for two separated images to visually converge. This will appear the size of a IPad at arms length away from you.
Rectangle glass will look amazing, and also a developer kit with hardware and software will be great, just like arduino ,raspberry pi
I am a bit of an introvert so I was waiting for the question to be answered if you Have to speak to the frame microphone or
if you can code a button to start a process with a basic question that you would usually ask the AI.
I would really like to but them but I am worried that I have to ask it a bunch of questions whilst I'm out.
Feature request
As someone who is still learning piano
It would be awesome to have feature
So while i learned the scales I would put blue tape
So i could learn the A scale keys , B minor scale keys etc
It would be cool to have a smart feature that you can look at a piano and tell it to highlight the keys on the scale
So you could save time and material for method
Also chords, and songs too
Any plans to offer alternative frames for these glasses? I'm not really a fan of the John Lennon/Steve Jobs/Harry Potter frames. I would be more interested in Ray-ban Wayfarer style frames.
I am sure there is a reason why the frame is like this. Maybe with time but this is the start up. It’s just amazing they have made it this far with AI. Gotta respect that and be patient with this company. I’m sure they will eventually give other options.
The key info I wanted: 640x400 pixel display that looks like a phone display about arm's length away (on one eye only) (Around 1:12:00)
only one eye?...
nothing on the other one?
only 1 eye but also better batterylife because of this choice, think about this.@@Andy_B.
If AI glasses like this were designed to look like a telescope....woo
What would uses be for the every day person. Like if I am just an average person will I have a use for this or is it purely for developing?
It’s a way to conveniently interface with AI tools. So many uses seen with GPT or Perplexity. Like translation, object queries ect.
Have these shipped and has anyone received these?
1:14:06 very good information, so not dustproof not waterproofed. This seems to risky for just walking out Home when its raining with the fear to destroy the expensive frame glasses
Can i pre order on April 1st still?
Yes, till the 15th
Hey this is amazing stuff what you are creating. The design and everything :D Is there gonna be a plugin system , where you have like a store to add plugin from the community ?
I think this is gonna be amazing toll for reading books 🎉🎉🎉
Eventually
The move the Lua is a great choice!
What are the capabilities when not connected to WiFi? Does it still translate?
What is the possibility of making a gps type of function? Im thinking something along the lines of when you get close to a turn or something. it will pop up on the lens and show something like
In 300 feet
Turn left on main street
Or show an actual line on the road like in forza
Very very good chance 🤓
Can it take a picture of a paper that have questions and answers it without a command just by tabing?👀🌚
That would be sick you look at a paper and it just puts the answers in the paper with your glasses and u just write it
preordered cant wait
Counting the daysssssss
Why the nose bridge charging? It would seem like the worst place to me, since it always gets greasy. Is there a way to charge the glasses without taking them off?
Can the batteries be replaced?
What lens coating will you use? Personally, I swear by the scratch-proof coating from HOYA. UV protection would also be nice.
How waterproof/washable will the frame be? I have an oily face and wash my glasses with running water and soap. Not an option?
Currently not an option.
Couldn't you have come up with a more stylish, welcoming, not so ugly design that might sell better aesthetics are important you know. Something that doesn't scream I'm a nerd, even if I am one, I don't need to advertise it to the world.
can you programe it to put copilet on them
Yes
I am jot a coder, just a girl who loves tech. Is this still worth it for everyday use??
Ask yourself. What for?
We think so.
Which languages are support?
English by default, though it will be able to translate into most languages.
Wil you be able to translate Japanese text into english in real time
Without having to tell it to translate each time
For example if you were playing a game with japanese text and the text kept changing
Love this. I just hope it's real. Looks better to me than Ray-Bans and cheaper, I think. I just don't want my hopes to get dashed again.

OMG Raj @ 23:28 passions for cramming as much compute as possible into old-school hardware 8mhz and 1kb ❤❤❤. I so need to develop for this, I been waiting for a platform to develop this tech on, and the fact you got it in that small form factor is mind boggling. I have so many questions about the tech to see how it can be pushed to the limits

I would look like Harry Potter if I wore those.
TAKE MY MONEY AND BRING ME MY WAND !!!
can you also play games with the ai?
Is there any possibility to add Russia into the countries that you can send this glasses to? I want them but just cant buy because of this issue :'(
Beautiful product but I’m not a DEV. I’ll wait to see what it runs and how it works. I note that my right eye is my good eye. Won’t be for everyone though…
It looks like there is only an OLED on one side, and what I assume is just a thick glass lens on the other. If there is only a display on one eye, I think a lot of people will be reluctant to call this "AR". I notice when they mention coordinates to display things on the screen, there is no mention of a way to control the depth that things are displayed at. I'm not expecting inside out tracking or anything from such a small form factor, but reading text that only displays in front of one eye seems like it would get tiresome. I hope I'm wrong and there's a screen for each eye. Edit: @1:11:10 one eye confirmed. I think a lot of people who aren't familiar with monocle might be disappointed when they try this out. This is the thing keeping me from buying one.
Are you welcoming investors?
No offens guys, but this rounded design not what I see everywhere on the streets. Is there any plan to build a "modern looking" frame? The device looks cool the price tag also friendly but the frame design is no go for me. :/
Agreed
I think that is heavily dependent on region. This is a very fashionable style where I am at (I work as an optician in South East of England)
I love it!!! It sends a message of being kinda not mainstream…. This is ahead of the curve and will always be cool.
I see this design everywhere in Los Angeles. Love the design and extremely trendy here. Would definitely rock them.
@@eightysevenmoore This is a prototype product. Nothing more. If you want to make it success, you don't have to make it for a handful of hipsters, especially not to be "cool". The goal is to get as many people as possible to pick it up, especially if the software is opensource.
Privacy concerns 100%
Why haven’t we seen anyone wearing them in any demos?? Hope this isn’t theranos 2.0 ! If so, you guys really shouldn’t be wasting 2.5hrs online! 😂

When can we see the hands-on experience for this product? it looks so fake.
I pre ordered just because of what they are and the possibilities. However, they look like they come with a nose 👃🏽.
thats the portable battery and charging station.
Just no to the round design, such a shame.
Your loss🤓
Meta did streaming from glasses.
