I grew up in Northern Ireland during the Troubles, and I can attest to how effective 'condemning this in the strongest possible terms' was in preventing bombings and shootings.

I love Jon Stewart, but I still miss Trevor Noah as the host. Too bad he's gone. I feel there had to be more to him leaving the show than him simply wanting to go back to being a stand-up comedian.

Ya israel has been a colonist state that has occupied and brutalized the Palestinian population from its inception and started the cycle of violence, one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter as the saying goes. In every case the israelis have used way more force and killed way more civilians in every part of the ongoing conflict, while stealing land from the rightful inhabitants. Hamas are terrorists, israel is a terrorist state.

Jon is one of the only famous people id love to meet. Conversing with him must be a treat.
This multi host concept is so innovative and it keeps the daily show as the most interesting show on tv right now IMO
Yeah actually talk about diversity in late night comedy... We don't need a single host, I have come to really like the variety. It lets us hear from so many voices that otherwise wouldn't get to be in front of us. And hopefully it also they all have better work-life balance than single stars of shows like this historically have. I think it does anchor the whole thing to have Jon doing Mondays, feels like the best of both worlds.
When Jon is behind the desk, I usually agree with him but even when I don't, I'm impressed with his delivery. His incredible comedic skill with this format is just so obvious. He's the GOAT and no one does it quite like him, and it's an additional pleasure to see different comedic talents delivering the great work of the excellent TDS writers' room.
It's great to discover Jon Stewart's back to host the daily show! He has not lost his luster...

He didn't "reveal" his position on abortion. He CHANGED it. It's not like we dont have countless video and audio clips of him, not only being proud of the overturn of Roe and taking the the claim (for once correctly). He has also said that he believes life begins at conception and that he would support a total nationwide ban. We can't let him squirm out of it.

Remember that Simpsons episode where Bart wants to join a gang and is told to cut off the head of the statue of the town's founder? Then the gang members say that wasn't what they wanted so Bart tried to hide the fact that he did it when the outcry from the people was so intense? This is what the republican reaction to the AZ ban reminds me of. They say they want the ban, but when it happens they're all saying that wasn't what they wanted.them. I only hope enough people see through their lies and hypocrisy come November.
The people who made it law again certainly wanted it. I don't know how you could argue that you don't want a law you just brought about.

I have all sorts of long-haul issues from mono as a teen & Lyme disease back then too so for 30 years I've been fighting health issues. This morning while going back to my condo from caregiving for my 80-year-old Mom, I stopped by to say hello to a family friend who is 89, she was outside with a giant stick clearing out leaves, etc., from her rental apartment side yard and she lives alone with no help from anyone! I on the other hand had to come back home to deal with my health challenges. Age isn't the predictor regardless of gender but I DO appreciate your seeing this sexist perspective it's refreshing to see folks call out the truth :)
