Video was good, and serves the purpose. Just 2 comments: 1. These are black and white questions. We know how they are going to respond, so it is less interesting to listen to (in my humble opinion). You could choose better topics which are towards the grey shade and get people's opinions. 2. Most of the people portrayed here are from similar state of the society. I know that it is not easy to show people saying unpopular opinions in video because those people themselves will face unwarranted negative comments from viewers, which they are not equipped to deal with. So maybe get people with differing opinions on grey topics and have a healthy discussion or show their opinions.

Hi Gayathri, I would like to request you to do a video on how ragging is portrayed in movies. At a time when we discuss about political correctness, respecting individual space, women's rights etc..still ragging is often depicted as so called 'mass'...I don't understand how dominating or bullying anyone to proclaim one's supremacy even in a mild way is treated as a ' normal behaviour' in a civilised society...why being compassionate and understanding is treated as weakness compared to arrogance in most of movies is a difficult to digest fact.

In the Wikipedia article regarding this, if you scroll down to the end and look at laws by country, one can see how recently some of these bizzare laws were repealed, even is countries we consider to be liberal or advanced. The presence of these laws has a lot to do with how much prevalent victim blaming is in society. On a related note, look up Franca Viola - an Italian woman in the 1960s who fought against this so- called marriage rehabilitation.

Video idea is good. One suggestion is..I think u have chosen your known people to share the response videos. Next time, try to make it a public. Its not mandatory that u shud go around and ask questions with the mike. U can get it done thru some of ur friends, so that it will be more lively and interesting to watch..u may get different opinions. Here all are aligned, since its same kind of people and so conventional scenes taken several yrs back (but still relevant). So try with such situations from new movies (last 10yrs old) with a live public.

I have always loved your videos. However, to be frank, this video was too boring for me since I could easily guess what the participants were going to answer. There was no particular element that grabbed my attention or that made me watch the video completely. If at all you are going to do more videos along the same pattern again, please include gray topics and people from different strata of the society who are generally not your usual viewers so that we get more of an unbiased opinion. As for this video, it was pretty sure that the respondents wouldn't dare answer regressively.

Nice video concept. However giving my honest opinion. Many of these situations are quite black and white, and responders are definitely mature in their thoughts and opinions. So a great way to show the sharp contrast between movies and reality. The thing is some of the situations are likely not something the responders will find themselves in - particularly stalking, dowry, etc What about grey areas? For example, for the "love affair discovery" situation - if you were to feel / know something is wrong with the boyfriend/girlfriend of someone you care about, how would you react?

Throw them away, since in most of the cases, moving legally also wont give u correct result (Even court will advise u to marry him). 2. As u r loving someone's sister, ur sister can also love someone. But, if u knw some bad side of him which is not aware of (for eg. he is a drug addict), then u must try to convince her. Valsalyam is 90s movie and this was a reality in those days (Changing college or stopping education) now everyone progressed enough to ask whether she is in love before searching alliances. 3. Insulting boss or even a friend must be faced boldly and try to avoid if possible. 4. By giving dowry, the conventional parents mean that they are hiring a guy (not selling a girl) who can take care of their daughter the life afterwards, so that boy's parents sell him. So if some girls are saying that they are not a product, their interpretation is wrong. In later stage, as in any market, more saleable boys started demanding more. The first thing any girl parents must do is..their daughter must be made independent not only financially, but also personally. U must understand marriage is not a mandatory thing, it shall happen naturally, if needed. Their ends this problem.

Video was good, and serves the purpose. Just 2 comments: 1. These are black and white questions. We know how they are going to respond, so it is less interesting to listen to (in my humble opinion). You could choose better topics which are towards the grey shade and get people's opinions. 2. Most of the people portrayed here are from similar state of the society. I know that it is not easy to show people saying unpopular opinions in video because those people themselves will face unwarranted negative comments from viewers, which they are not equipped to deal with. So maybe get people with differing opinions on grey topics and have a healthy discussion or show their opinions.

I would like to request you to do a video on how ragging is portrayed in movies. At a time when we discuss about political correctness, respecting individual space, women's rights etc..still ragging is often depicted as so called 'mass'...I don't understand how dominating or bullying anyone to proclaim one's supremacy even in a mild way is treated as a ' normal behaviour' in a civilised society...why being compassionate and understanding is treated as weakness compared to arrogance in most of movies is a difficult to digest fact.

Regarding the last scenario, many countries have / had laws which show leniency to perpetrators if they marry their victim. In the Wikipedia article regarding this, if you scroll down to the end and look at laws by country, one can see how recently some of these bizzare laws were repealed, even is countries we consider to be liberal or advanced. The presence of these laws has a lot to do with how much prevalent victim blaming is in society.

Video idea is good. One suggestion is..I think u have chosen your known people to share the response videos. Next time, try to make it a public. Its not mandatory that u shud go around and ask questions with the mike. U can get it done thru some of ur friends, so that it will be more lively and interesting to watch..u may get different opinions. Here all are aligned, since its same kind of people and so conventional scenes taken several yrs back (but still relevant). So try with such situations from new movies (last 10yrs old) with a live public.
Hilter also represents same situation as your 6th question. When I saw the movie first time I was very young and I was shocked by that judgement at that age. These influences badly on young people.

I have always loved your videos. However, to be frank, this video was too boring for me since I could easily guess what the participants were going to answer. There was no particular element that grabbed my attention or that made me watch the video completely. If at all you are going to do more videos along the same pattern again, please include gray topics and people from different strata of the society who are generally not your usual viewers so that we get more of an unbiased opinion. Nice video concept. However giving my honest opinion. Many of these situations are quite black and white, and responders are definitely mature in their thoughts and opinions. So a great way to show the sharp contrast between movies and reality. The thing is some of the situations are likely not something the responders will find themselves in - particularly stalking, dowry, etc
What about grey areas? For example, for the "love affair discovery" situation - if you were to feel / know something is wrong with the boyfriend/girlfriend of someone you care about, how would you react?
You should have included some parents or middle aged people in that. Unfortunately they might have gone with movies may be more worse than that
