I noticed that during some malayalam interviews(especially film promotion interview), the interviewer don't even ask any questions to the female celebrities. Also, during stage shows, while announcing the names of actors, they ll announce all the male actors name first and all the female actors names comes last. This is applicable in video thumbnails also.

ഇപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹം ഗൗരവത്തോടെ ഇരുന്നാൽ പറയും dq ഒരു വൃത്തികെട്ട പണി ആണ് കാണിച്ചെന്ന്. ഇതിപ്പോ ആ നായികയോട് ചോദിച്ചതിന് മറുപടി അവർ തന്നെ പറഞ്ഞു. പിന്നെന്താണ് പ്രശ്നം. ഇതിനെ കുറിച്ച് dq വീണ്ടും ഒരു video ചെയ്ത് ചിരിച്ചതിന്റെ അർത്ഥം പറയേണ്ട ആവശ്യം ഒന്നും ഇല്ല.
ഇതൊന്നും പുതുമയല്ല പണ്ടു ചോദിച്ച് വച്ചതിന്റെ എല്ലാം തുടർച്ച. എന്ത് കൊണ്ടാണ് പുതിയ തലമുറയിലും ഇങ്ങനെ ചോദ്യങ്ങൾ ആവർത്തിക്കപെടുന്നത്. 😕
Not a malayalam interview,..but the ellen show makes me cringe a lot. She just asks about the celebrities personal life without any shame. Most of the questions are too personal and I always feel like the celebrities are just doing their profession why would they answer about their private life unless they wanna speak on their own. They are also humans like us. Just like every other profession they are pursuing theirs and I think they will always be comfortable with more professional questions rather than answering about these kinda things.🙄😅

I felt that DQ was being respectful in the interview. ( I am commenting ONLY on his behaviour when the question was asked. Not on what he could have done after the interview to address the issue)The question was addressed to Shobitha. Hence she had to answer it and she did it beautifully. By expecting.DQ to talk about it / for her aren't we propogating the idea that women's voices can only be validated when someone (preferably males)talk for them or to back them up in issues ? I think the laugh itself was a response and I think it was a good thing that he didint take away the attention from her reply by adding his ideas on it. Agree to all the rest of the things you said.

In Flowers Oru Kodi. I see Mr. Sreekantan Nair always asking irrittating questions to the Contemstants and he is spenting lot of time asking unwanted questions. When a girl came to the show with her family, Mr, SreeKNair was asking her whether she know driving. She replied she knows and her father had taught it. Mr SKNair appreciated her father telling that he has let his girls drive. This is really awkward. Driving is an activity all should know and is necessary now. If a Boy comes, he never asks these. Not only these, two times,Divorced Ladies were participatong in the show and he was purposefully asking them about their life in their husband's home. What does Mr. NAIR gets from irrittating viewers.

Totally DISAGREE with the notion that DQ SHOULD have responded verbally to offer support to Shobitha ,who already gave a befitting reply to that stupid question. I also feel many times when some Malayalee interviews who are not very well versed in English, when they attempt asking something...they really don't know the meaning of their Owm question themselves. നടന്മാർ, നടിമാർ പ്രതികരിക്കണം എന്ന് എനിക്ക് തോന്നിയിട്ടില്ല. നമ്മള് അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം പാവം എന്ന് തോന്നിയിട്ടല്ല അവരുടെ content കാണുന്നതും കാശ് കൊടുക്കുന്നതും. നമ്മുടെ ആനന്ദത്തിന് വേണ്ടി തന്നെയാണ്. ഇങ്ങനെ വലിയൊരു ശതമാനം ജനതയെ പതിറ്റാണ്ടുകൾ ആന്ദിപ്പിക്കുന്ന നടീനടന്മാർക്ക് കാശും പത്രാസും ആരാധകരും ഉണ്ടായെന്നിരിക്കും. അതിന്റെ അർത്ഥം മറ്റ് തൊഴിലുകൾക്കൊന്നും ഇല്ലാത്ത പോലെ അവർ സമൂഹത്തോട് എന്തോ വലിയ കടപ്പാടുള്ളവരായിരിക്കണം എന്നല്ല. പിന്നെ അറിയാത്ത വിഷയത്തെ പറ്റി വിവരക്കേട് വിളിച്ചു പറയുക(ഇത് ഇടയ്ക്ക് പ്രതികരിക്കുന്ന complete actor ചെയ്യാറുള്ളതാണ്), തരാതരം അഭിപ്രായം മാറ്റിപ്പറയുക എന്നതൊന്നുമില്ലാത്തത് തന്നെയാണ് നല്ലത്. ഇനി പ്രതികരിക്കാൻ പോയാലാണ് രസം. അതിന് പ്രതികരിച്ചു, ഇതിന് പ്രതികരിക്കാഞ്ഞത് എന്താ? ഇതിന് പ്രതികരിച്ചല്ലൊ അതിന് പ്രതികരിക്കാഞ്ഞതെന്താ എന്നായിരിക്കും പിന്നെ. Most of them lead highly privileged lives which are unimaginable for us and they too must be out of touch with the reality of a common person.
I am die heart dq fan while watching the interview I didn't noticed his reaction ofcourse I noticed his laugh but after watching this I came to know what is the real meaning behind it. Like he said in one of the interviews he always shows his better side and mammuka says that he can't be like him he say things more frankly

Can't help but remember an old interview of prithviraj during Ravan promotions. It was sort of stage event held in Kerala and he was asked about the experience of working with Aishwarya Rai. To this he said "Malayalam cinemayil Mammootty, Mohanlal enne superstarinte koode abhinayicha eniku ethu oru valiya sambhavam aayi thoneela. Thamasharoppena annu paranjhathu... But it was offensive. As expected crowd cheered. Ennu ayinu enki Prithvi wouldn't have said that and it would have started a debate.
I remember this. I was in 10th class.. the boys in my class was so offended...and I asked them why? She is just like any other costar he had worked with.. why should he treat her any different???

I agree but similar stuff happens to some men, too. Sometimes women or men ask some men such sexist personal questions, too.
Hoping you will highlight those few instances, too, that is if you ever came across one.
It maybe lower in percentage compared to sexist questions asked to women.

Which actress do you prefer?
Who would you smash?
When are you getting married?
Any lovers?
Do you believe in promiscuity?
Do you like sports?
Do you attend parties?
Do you ride bikes?

There are many men n women in our "Society" who long to be cared by a Brother, father, sister or mother like figure but unfortunately genuine ones are hard to find and they remain alone...but there are few lucky people who gets what they aspire for...and labelling them all under the ''fake online brother or sister'' tag is again another kind of Stereotyping and a toxic trend(Sorry to say..
