Duuude.. same, i played this game when i was little and rediscovered it only a few years ago, i was looking real hard for it and was overjoyed when i finally found it. Everything about this game is fricking amazing.
Surreaktor wow I had the opposite experience! I watched the cartoons, but never knew this game existed! I would have enjoyed it a lot, TECNOS development is very notorious as the music, sound and game play feels similar to Ninja Gaiden, an old time favorite 👌🏻✨
In fact this series was dubbed by Saban, The fan translators get mixed with Power Rangers and Super Pig (That aired in those place than the Amercian else) else.
I love the show and this game is a faithful recreation of the show. the chapters feel like they could be episodes of the show itself.

I want to say that up to the doctor it very loosely follows the episodes.
The giant alien robot from stage 1I could have sworn was an episode, the episode when Lucille gets kidnapped happened in another, and most definitely the tv station stage happened. If I had all the time in the world I could go above and beyond editing by slipping in dialog audio that matches up. Including some background music!

*Darkwing Duck:* This is the city of Little Tokyo. Like your hometown where the old meets the new and if it has cute and fierce robot animals as its population. But, like any other major metropolis, Little Tokyo has its problems with the Criminal Element, especially sometimes suffers from random gigantic monster attacks. Behind it all is none other than Big Cheese himself who resides in Little Tokyo's Palace. The place needs heroes and it's already ahead. Those heroes keep a low profile inside a pizza parlor that has a roof that looks like a giant hand gun which they've used to launch themselves right to where the evil is afoot. That team of heroes call themselves the Samurai Pizza Cats. They vow to protect Little Tokyo from Big Cheese's Evil Clutches using the Art of the Legendary Samurai. I, Darkwing Duck, am in charge of the narrative speech. Now, Let's get dangerous!

Ñañuco This is a fan translation of the game. The original Japanese release of the game had specific scenes for the translators to work with, similar to how the original Japanese version of the Samurai Pizza Cats anime had specific scenes to dub over. So the translators stuck to be faithful to the English dub of the show when translating this game. They made up their own jokes and script to put in the cutscenes for this game, and improvised it along the way. Most of the jokes in this English translation were not seen in the original Japanese game.

This game's graphics, atmosphere, story-telling cutscenes, gameplay, music and and uh, EVERYTHING about this game was literally golden. Too ahead of it's time. Same goes with Goal 3. Why? Because some mastermind decided it was a good idea to add a third button to the game, by pressing a+b, you can jump. So you can pass, shoot, order someone to pass and shoot, and jump at the same time. These 2 are my favorite.

I just discovered this one. Definitely not as challenging as some of the other games I’ve played on the NES, but I’m seriously loving this one right now.

Just played this on a multicart earlier today. Didn't know you could hit him when he was flickering in 4 spots at once, I was actually dodge sprinting n slashing behind me.

They really cared about the show. 2d era Japanese games based on anime usually suck hard like mazinger on the snes or the first bunch of macross games.

This wasn't, this translation was released a few years ago as two separate translations. This one featured here is in there spirit of the localization of the us, and the other is a straight Japanese translation. Check out romhacking.net for more info on it.

Yes, this is. I believe i got the patch originally from Edoropolis Emporium forums back when it was released in 2012. You can find this patch on romhacking.net as well along with info explaining about the translation

It's pretty bland sometimes when you see the SPC always do their final pose and Big Cheese always blows up mad, but the game play with this Game is awesome, maybe Capcom should recognize and support the series.
Full disclosure, here: Tecmo was responsible for the game, and Discotek Media's released BOTH versions of the series. Capcom only did Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, and I don't know when they'll support the Wii U, or the 3DS with another physical game release.
