Making A Laser Cut Chair | Lasercut Chair | CNC Woodworking

- Today I'm making a laser cut Adirondack chair, starting from local slab wood. This is a special build because it's first on the big Penguin CNC Router you saw show up at the Makerspace months ago.
We have one Adirondack chair sitting outside the shop and it only seemed fair to make a second chair so Brooke could have one too.
Enjoy

Thanks so much for watching. You’re the best 👊. And happy that we could teach a thing or two
I like the box joints keep it up you have a sub
Thanks so much, you’re the best 👊
I love this man, you definitely have comedic undertones from John Belushi and Andy Kaufman. You may also be one of the only other people I know of in MA to take up valuable garage space with giant shop equipment in a place where it snows more than Narnia. Always great videos, really enjoy them!
Thank you so much. If I’m reading this right. You’re also from MA? And also have a huge CNC? 😎👊👊👊
@@MakersWorkshopLLC Also from MA. No huge CNC though. Working out of a two car garage though :D
Great film. The opening scenes are awesome. Super entertaining. Cool chair too. Mahalo for sharing.
Thanks so much. We hope it was at least half as entertaining to watch as it was fun to for us to film.
Scary vibes 😮
Very scary
Great learning experience. The mulberry looks cool!
The mulberry ended up being really fun to work with. Bright yellow to a deep copper color. The chair has been looking real nice against the fall foliage 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I was on the fence about liking and subscribing. Then, @ 14:45, the chair, with so much time and effort invested was thrown down into a pile of kindling from hell. $old!
You two are awesome! I was surprised the first chair wasn't the firewood in the last clip, lol
Thanks. We didn’t have the camera running when it actually broke so we smacked it on the pavement for the sake of the video haha.
Awesome. Prettiest Adirondack I've seen yet. Will the files work with a cnc router like the one you surface planed with?
Yes! it is designed for a 1/2” material. If you want to make it thicker you’ll have to adjust the joints. That’s the only potential “hiccup” I can think of you may run into
@@MakersWorkshopLLC awesome. Thank you for the reply. I don't have machine yet but will purchase your plan soon.
Great video and test, but material is much too thin in my experience to hold up long term. Especially if left outside for extended periods.
Can I buy plans / cut files for this chair as well as your walnut desk build? Happy to pay for. GREAT INFO and presentation. I tried going to website to signup and get a 404 page not found error. Are you no longer selling plans and memberships?
Oh no! Thanks for the heads up. I’ll check it out and get that fixed. We are absolutely still selling plans. In the meantime if you got to MakersWorkshop.com and then the virtual makerspace you can sign up that way for file access
@@MakersWorkshopLLC Apologies, but ALL the links to signup appear to be broken on all pages including virtual makerspace.
