@@kammunistmnfsto Ho Yeon seems to be very friendly as well and has stayed good friends with the women playing Ji-Yeong and Han Mi Nyeo. The one seeming a bit distant is Jung Jae and it seems like he was treated very differently from the others being the top star and one of the biggest star actors in Korea. For instance when you watch the bts of red light, green light during breaks he has a guy holding an umbrella for him. As soon as the director screams cut, the umbrella guy comes running so Jung Jae can get some shade and cool down but no one else has it. I think that kinds of put up a barrier between the actors. Not that Jung Jae is a snob or treating the others bad or anything, I would rather say the opposite and he seems sweet to the others. It's hard to set the finger on it he's just a bit more reserved.
I don’t know why I didn’t expect the director to speak such good English. And also I have a feeling he modeled Sangwoo after himself because his personality seems nearly identical to his 😂
the director actually went to SNU and I believe he also grew up in the same town Sang-woo and Gi-hun grew up in. He said he modeled both characters based on himself.

@@d3l3tes00n As a foreigner, I'd say that is not "forcing" because it's a natural instinct to try to "speak" in English (not "learning." We already do learn English in schools, but never speak in it) since it is a universal language not American language. Technically, Koreans also study English in school and college. In fact, their English exams are even more advanced than American exams. Speaking in English, is just rarely done in many countries but they really write in English. And can be also better than Americans. Most countries study English as both second and compulsory subject. That's why they can grasp it and may develop some affinity for it when it's being implemented but American education doesn't include the "long-term study" of foreign languages. You're making it sound like English is being forced on foreigners when it's already been studied heavily before application of it. But American education doesn't even have a foreign language as a "mandatory" (can be minimally requirements for colleges admittance but most countries don't have minimal thresholds for English) in schools therefore it's understandable that foreigners try to speak in English.

Edited: some mistakes about American education. It turns out that there are some american colleges that have foreign language requirements which are somewhat minimal.

It’s so cute seeing that these actors literally are so opposite to how they are in the show. Hoyeon is so bubbly and fun but in the show she was serious and badass while gihun in real life is very introverted as compared to how he is in the show
